hai neeti how to link my application i am also sponsor and got my aor on jan 4 2019 . How many members you have state there because i am sponsoring my dad and mom is accompanying him and wife is co signor . So i am lil bit confused how many memeber to put and in applicant name i have to state mine or my father details
Hope you got what i wanna say . L

Finally I am able to link my application to my (sponsor) mycic gc key account. So the the status on the application under account says:
We are processing your application. We will send you a message when there is an update or if we need more information from you.

However on the ecas it says Application Received.
So which one is more updated? Also another question is:
1. Do I need to create a separate my cic account for the Applicant (my Father) to check the status OR just the sponsor's cic account should be fine to track the status.

Please suggest. Thanks.[/QUOTE]

Yes use of rep form is mandatory either you are using one or not.
Someone please double confirm this for me, I haven't sent any use of representative form and I reckon it isn't mandatory if you don't want to use one.
Am I wrong here?

Can my parents submit passports in India whereas their visa office is in Canada- Ottawa?

i don;t think it is mandatory. I shall submit one anyways

Hi Atif,

Are you going to submit "Use of rep" form?? I got the same response from CIC for my mom's application on Dec 21st.

Thanks,
S
I personally think it is not mandatory. I shall ask my father to submit one nominating me as the rep anyways. it can be done electronically through the web.

@jhoongo I've seen your file is also being processed in Manila just like mine. My parent's were here in Canada too for more than 6 months and they didn't ask for a Criminal Record Check from Canada, when they sent me the letter for PCC they specified that we only need to submit NBI Clearance ( police clearance in the Philippines) hhhmmm I guess it depends on the visa officer now I am paranoid if they will ask it in the future lol

Interesting..lol if they didn't ask, then it should be fine I guess. We are both on the same boat for waiting Manila VO to finish off our applications hopefully within few months as we all have done IME and PCC.

Just out of curiosity, have you submitted PCC through email? or MyCIC? What's your status say for "Additional Document" section in your MyCIC account? or anything on ECAS?

Hi @kc2500 ,
Any update from new Delhi Visa office?
2017
"Finally after 2 months and one week, we got passport request on 18 Jan. Actually MP has sent them email on Monday to inquire about delay after decision made. CIC sent passport request through email but my account is not updated. We are sending passport today to Ottawa because parents are in Canada. Our Visa office was New Delhi.
Thank you everyone for your support. And best of luck!!!"

Thanks everyone for lots of information on this forum, really appreciate all the contributors. My parents passports were back with permanent resident visa and Copr's. I must say it was a fast and smooth processing. My only advise was to be patient, read and understand the instructions and all the correspondence. I don't have a CIC account, I only check it on Ecas once in a while. Thanks a lot.
