Also, can my parents list me as their representative by filling out form IMM 5676? Any downside with doing so?

- You don't have to provide an explanation for not providing IMM5409 or IMM5748

- As per guide 5772, if an applicant pays Right of Permanent Residency fee in advance, that could help in faster processing of the file. At the same time it's not mandatory to pay that fee in advance.

- IMM 5676 - Use of Representative form will be required from the principle applicant among your parents. If it's not provided with the application package, IRCC will get back to you and ask for it. That might delay the overall processing.

Good luck!

Hi everyone. Quick question: Once you send the envelope, are they going to send any confirmation that they received it? Thank you in advance.

Who are they? If you send it using a tracked method, then the post/courier service will confirm it was delivered. CIC will send an AOR once they feed your file into their system.

"They" are CIC of course. Yeah, was sent using a tracked method and I have confirmation of delivery. Just wanted to know if CIC will send further confirmation. Thanks for the response.

They will. It is commonly referred as AOR (acknowledgement of receipt), and is widely discussed here. In summary, there was a bunch of AORs received on Apr 19, and none afterwards. Looks like these are coming in batches. Stay tuned.

Thank you both, however not necessary that taxable income is what is taken into account. WCB and disability insurance amounts are non taxable but are included in ones income on which IRCC adjudicates. NOA will capture all that income/receipts.

In my previous comment I had alluded that one cannot add an incorporated company's gross or net income even though the individual sponsoring is the shareholder, however if they are drawing any kind of income from the incorporated company then that is captured on the NOA via T4, or T4A or T5.

Sole proprietor - the income generated as a sole proprietor (most of taxi drivers) will be noted on the individuals personal Tax return that is T1 General and is a flow through on NOA , so even that is classified as a business income , the net income is what is important for assessment, if it is a loss then that eats up on your other sources of income.

Hope this helps

agreed. I think point is same it must flow and ended up on NOA

Hi Guys,

I was not aware we can select signature on receive option when I sent my package using express Canada Post service. I can see delivery confirmed for the application. I got two reminder emails one on 9th May and one just few minutes back which I can see on forum that everyone is getting.

Has anyone got AOR recently? Do you guys see any issue where I missed signature on receive option while sending my package?

Thanks in Advance.

After April 19, no one received an AOR. I think IRCC will send next batch of AORs after MAY 25 deadline.

As far as not opting the 'signature option' of Canada Post, it won't be a problem. The only difference is that the delivery certificate (which you can download from Canada Post delivery notification), won't have a signature of the recipient.
