Hi. I need some help for my unfortunate situation.
I applied to PGP 2018. My parents got their medical done in Dec 2018. The doctor gave them a heads up after the exam as my dad’s chest x-ray was not looking ok. Unfortunately in Jan 2019 my dad got diagnosed with a terminal cancer – diagnosis was done by other specialists not the panel physician.
After medical submission, my parents got a letter asking my dad to do some extra exams. They got the same letter again a few days ago but this time it says it’s a final reminder. To fulfill letter’s requirement my dad has to make multiple trips to another town where the panel physician is, as there is no CIC panel physician in their home town, and he is unable to do so.
At this point I know they will be medically inadmissible even if he completes the extra exams. And they themselves don’t want to immigrate to Canada anymore as it is more convenient for them to complete the treatments in their home country.
My question is what is the best way to deal with this situation? I don’t want to do something wrong that may affect their chances of getting a regular visitor visa later if they want to just visit me. These are my scenarios:
1. Ignore everything and let CIC refuse their application.
2. Withdraw the application and explain everything including his illness.
3. Withdraw the application without mentioning his illness.
Any suggestion is really appreciated and sorry for the long post!
