congra, and im curious about whether the process time varies from Passport to COPR...

Thx, for the Ottawa office, it is around 2-week time for COPR to be received from the date of passport delivery. It may up or down few days due to various reason, I suppose. Say passport or passport copy to be submitted. Obviously, those submit passport needs to wait for visa printing require longer time. Any dependants of the principal applicant sure require a bit longer time. The place you live, as if living near Ottawa, will delivered and received faster la. There are possible some more reasons that we may not aware will also hinder their process.

No need to separate, I submit one single form as it already include the space to fill for applicant, his spouse and dependents if any.

I have asked this question couple times no one answered. Is there anyone with same situation?

Hello Guys

I am a new member on this forum.The status of my parents (father and mother) application is as follows:-

We received ABCDs application for permanent residence on September 4, 2018.

• We started processing ABCDs application on February 27, 2019.
  
  We sent ABCDs medical instructions on February 28, 2019. To avoid delays, please provide us with the information requested as soon as possible. Please consider delays in mail delivery before contacting us.
  We sent ABCDs correspondence on March 7, 2019. If ABCDs has not yet provided the information or the requested documents, please have ABCDs do so as soon as possible. Please wait until ABCDs receives the correspondence before sending us additional information, as the correspondence will outline all information that is required.
  The back ground check and police verification has already been submitted for both on April 3rd,2019.

My parents initial medical test was done on March 11th ,2019 followed by furtherance tests for my father on April 30th and May 5th respectively (No further requests for more tests have been received so far). There was a Sputum test(AFB) conducted for 3 consecutive days for my father around April 30th,2019 and now some chest x ray will be conducted 90 days from the first chest x ray date(which was March 11th 2019).

Kindly advise if my father will have to go only once for the Chest X Ray or there will be further visits as follow ups for Sputum Test as well. Also under what circumstances the doctor might order another X ray to be done and examined further after 90 days (Post June 11)

It depends mostly on sputum test. Three consecutive sputum test is to see if there's any detectable culture in the sputum. If the sputum tested positive, your father would have been put on treatment plan immediately. So, his sputum test must have came back negative. But, they will grow culture from his sputum for two months and see if they can detect TB. If that came back positive, then he'd be placed on treatment plan as well.

If both the sputum and culture tests came back negative, they will likely want to get another X-ray done in about three months to make sure that there's no changes in his X-ray. Sometimes, people can have scars on their lungs and can be misdiagnosed as TB. Having a consistent X-ray even after the treatment will confirm that it is not TB, but a scar.

In your case, your dad is going through the first culture test. Once you get the result back, you will know what your next steps are. Generally speaking, your father will go through sputum test and get his first X-ray. He will then have another X-ray in three to six months to compare it to the first one. Once those steps are clear (i.e no positive result from sputum and culture tests plus no changes in his X-ray), he will have his medical pass status.

They are making sure he doesn't have serious kidney disease because dialysis is extremely expensive.

In any of case of PR ,its better to leave once they receive PR card but if its really important to leave then only way is that anyone can receive cards in mail at home and can deliver them by mail or personally .. Then they can come back bcz they need to show PR card to enter in Canada again

I know but they can not stay longer than 2,3 weeks until the time they have for landing. I can take the cards to them myself.

You can hope to receive PR cards soon bcz I got my PR card in 2.5 weeks and my husband got in 4 weeks after landing..

for VFS office passport submission they request for a consent form which also has a biometric column in it. Did your parents get their biometric done? CIC never requested for one though as part of the application for my parents

No my parents did not do biometric. For consent form I think VFS person filled all forms for my parents.

Finally both the SA and PR app is changed to in process. I checked after 2/3 days . it would have converted anytime from 22nd May to 25th May.
