The income requirement is confirmed at 2015, 2016 and 2017. All years NOAs must show the full LICO amount, no exceptions.Hello Rob, if I only worked partial year in the first of the three years since I was doing school, and my income was higher than minimum requirement if proportioned to the whole year, can I apply? Can you please give me a reference? Thanks!
Only thing that matters is as of the date of your parents PR app, you are common-law. Your tax marital status in previous tax years is completely irrelevant.I am asking my question again. My common law and I are going to apply for my parents. for NOA 2015 and 2016 we file our tax as single and for 2017 we have not done it yet. we are going to file it as common law though! so, is it going to be an issue?
It doesn't make a difference for the sponsorship app but if you filed single when you were already common-law, you committed tax fraud.I am asking my question again. Hi Rob, thanks so much for your reply. I am asking because in the first page, you mentioned "Does your 2015 income meet the minimum income amount? This would depend if you were working for a full year or partial year."The income requirement is confirmed at 2015, 2016 and 2017. All years NOAs must show the full LICO amount, no exceptions.
No it is the actual money you made not your income potential.Hi Rob, thanks so much for your reply. I am asking because in the first page, you mentioned "Does your 2015 income meet the minimum income amount? This would depend if you were working for a full year or partial year."
My situation is that I finished school in June of 2015 and started working in June. My income of that year does not meet the requirement. However, if I can proportion my income from partial year to a whole year, I am beyond the minimum (e.g. monthly salary). Is it possible to do that?
You must include your dad in your family size, regardless if he's coming or not. He would be a non-accompanying dependent.
So if you don't meet LICO including both, you're ineligible to apply for 1 or 2 parents.
Pretty sure you need to list everyone you will be sponsoring. When the form is asking for parents information, can we just put principle applicant's (information, or we must put the information of the PA and PA's spouse?
No it's not possible. You must have the full LICO amount on your 2015 tax return or your app will be rejected.Hi Rob, thanks so much for your reply. Lol, you need to answer that question. Select one of the two options: "My own pare..." OR "My spouse or ....". It will prop another question about whether you have read the requirements, answer that and it will show a button to the form.Guys I feel stupid but on the CIC website it says to fill the interest to sponsor form but I cant find the link to the online form?
To access the interest to sponsor form, answer these questions:
Who would you like to sponsor?
- My own parents and grandparents
- My spouse or partners’ parents and grandparent
Thanks! Is it a must to submit one form only? You submit one interest form with both listed. If selected, you will submit 2 separate apps.
One interest to apply form per eligible sponsor (e.g. you)Thanks! Is it a must to submit one form only?
