Thanks!

Hi All, I have a question about validating forms.

I could not get the forms to generate the barcodes needed, i printed them off anyway and sent them to my grandmother to sign which she has. I have now figured out the technical problem and gotten the barcodes to be generated and printed them.

So I now have one unsigned copy of the form with barcodes, and a signed copy with no barcodes. What do I do in this situation? Take the signed page of one copy and add it to the other with the barcodes and submit that? When you validate it adds a long number to every page of the document, so that number will be different on the signed page.

The information is identical on both copies of the forms, should I submit them both? With a letter to explain?

Obviously time is tight here but I do live just a few blocks from the address it needs to be sent to so hopefully can submit in person, or just do a same day courier if they demand it.
Hello ,
I went through the same situation but I had some time and I sent the bar-coded copies back and my parents signed the bar-coded copies.
Someone in the forum suggested that its not good to combine both as they have that long number, if you have all the inforamtion on the signed copies then go ahead with submitting that, as bar-codes are only optional they are not mandatory.
Again we are not experts here but can just suggest something as per our opinion.
Hope this helps.
good luck

Hi, my question is does everybody just attached the supporting documents as per checklist or they include any cover letter. Also if already gave consent for CRA then still need to attach any paystubs or job letter. Thanks in advance, please reply.

Are you sure that it is mandatory to submit IMM 5676 form and if anyone doesn't IRCC will ask for it later?
Based on what I have read in the forum for 2016 and 2017 applications, the sponsors who didn't submit the IMM5676, they were asked to submit the same after receipt of application.
Even thought it's not mentioned anywhere that it's a mandatory form, the understanding is that the sponsor will be the Representative of applicant, therefore expectation is to submit the form IMM5676. But IRCC should mention it in the guide or on the checklist that its a mandatory document.
Another confusion they need to get rid of!

Hi all,
I just received the documents from my home country signed by my parents and will have all my documents ready
by tomorrow morning. That being said, is there any way I can make sure my docuemtns get to Ottawa by tomorrow
and if so how can they drop it off at the PO Box.
Any suggestions will help.
Thanks in advance.
Nikhil.

Hi,
I believe everyone just follows the checklist.
Cover letter or LOE is only required if you are missing something or you want to explain something, like in my case I don't have my birth certificate so I have to include an LOE.
pay stubs are only required if consent is not given but if you have already said Yes and provide your SIN number then you don't have to attach pay stubs.
Thanks

No paystubs or job letter required.
Also, no cover letter required.
Only explanation letter is required if you are unable to provide a supporting document, for example marriage certificate of parents.
Good Luck!

Hi Everyone - new to the forum. I submitted my application on May 17 and received on May 18. Was anyone able to check their status online prior to receiving the AOR? If so, should I use my information or the main applicant's information? Thanks.

Hi everyone,

I recently sent an application to sponsor my parents and just realized I was supposed to include the invitation letter which I didn't. Does anyone have a similar experience? Should I send my application again or will CIC still process it? I am on a tight deadline, there is only 3 days left till the deadline

Regards

Yes I did do a cover letter for some explanations I had to do for principal applicant's stay in Canada.

If I was in your shoe I would reapply with the invite letter before 5pm today by priority Canada post.
