I am from Karachi,, well they will call me for passport collect,, bro my cousin got his visa last month he didn't get any email.. Maybe some people get it but its not necessary,,. So think positive,, and trust Allah,, if its in ur better interest u will get it,,

It has nothing to do with being in Karachi or another city. Earlier, CIC used to email as soon as approved. Often it took a few days to actually deliver passports, delayed specially if there was a weekend involved. So they changed practice to sending email late i.e. i have known many people who received passport notification first and email latter.

Personally, i applied for wp for myself, with spouse and kids. I received emails for spouse and a study permit for son, but not for myself (LOL being the primary applicant) and the same day an hour latter got sms from Fedex. So it varies from case to case.

Lol ,, he asked me about where u are from,, well I know 3 people recently got their visas ,, none of them got email,, may be they have got it later but not before the passport was in their hand,,

Alhamdulilah I got Visa today. It was stamped on 26th ;D ;D ;D ;D :-* :-* :-* :-*

Collected Passports at 9.30 am and got email of confirmation at 11am today. visa was stamped on 26 Nov
