If there was no interview letter attached you should be expecting good news in a few months.

if there are no interview letter attached then does that really mean that an interview is not necessary and our case is strong enough? i am planning to go vietnam end of august and we'll be going to singapore for a tour. do you think its a good idea to go straight into the office and demand to see how the case is going? ;D ;D

Congrats! to topa and thanh245 :) :) :)

thanks thanh245 for helping me out with my application earlier on. i do appreciate it.

I think they don't entertain information service for the applicant in person in the High Commission on a particular immigration file but I am not sure.

Hey make sure u order GCMS notes now before sending it in cuz Spacely84 sent his passport and appendix a in also, but for some reason he had an interview request.

Hi Mikeymyke,
My application has just changed to "in process" and the VO asked me to submit some documents in which Ly lich tu phap (LLTP) is one of that stuff. My problem is I hv submitted the request for LLTP and they asked me to collect within 2 weeks but until now 1 week is passed the due date. whenever I call to Justice Dept to ask the status of my document and they said they not yet received it from the police dept. According to the information I read in web, the max time to verify is 20 days. I dont know why they keep mine for so long or they want me to give them under the counter buck. I m so worried for not submitting all the required docs within 60 days. Any advice? thanks so much.

Hey, when we got our LLTP, it took 30 days to get, partly because you have to get Version #2, and that's the one CIC wants, which is the most in-depth one that takes long time to process. You still have lots of time to submit, I wouldn't worry so much, if its longer than a month, then try contact them again. We had the same problem too, we were expected to pick it up after Week 3, but they told us they're not finished and we have to come back later, it turned out to be just a week later.

@Dragoon
When is your wife arriving in Canada?

My husband asked the lawyer to help him get LLTP. He paid $170 and got it within 4-5 days.

We gave them at the office 200.000 dong and got it as fast... ;)

Quite a lot of buck. I m waiting 4 my LLTP & combine everything that VO required. Cross my fingers (still waiting 4 some more mths to reunite) :D
Have your guys booked tickets yet?

Now I am very confuse...Huh Someone said when you hand in all of the information(Medical Examination/Ly Lich Tu Phap 2/IMM 5669E/Original Passport.) and ($499 Thue Dinh Cu)? I already paid $1040...that wasn't included? Shocked

What else do I have to pay before handing in my documents?

Sorry what's Thue Dinh Cu? Something about tax?

On another note, has anyone here been successful in getting a visitor visa from VN? My wife told me she was on a Vietnamese forum, and there were 2 recent posts by some people who didn't have much assets, job or anything, but were successful in getting a visa, both people were surprised they got it but they said you just need to be honest.

Hey canadavietnam, long time :)

We are landing in Vancouver, so it's all good. Booked flight with China Airlines since it's half the price of Cathay Pacific. I don't even know why CP is always double the price of CA.
This is strange to me. why people pay that price! I did stay with China airlines.

I agree, I've flown CP before, its no different than CA I found.

Good news everyone, I won the ADR! hehe

Now, what will happen in the coming months? What are the next steps? I Wonder how it will takes. I hope it will not take 6 or 8 more months. :o

I'm in Quebec. The Quebec Selection Certificate of my wife has expired a few months ago and I need to renew it. How? Should I fill out all the forms again? And do I have to wait for Immigration Canada or the Immigration Appeal Division to send me an official letter saying that I won before I can proceed the renewal of the Quebec Selection Certificate?

Thank you very much et good luck to all! :D

Congratulation buddy!
