Hey,
Yes, I got it by post and they say to go to CIC website, choose one of the designated GPs and get the test done within 30 days of letter dated 15 July!
It is going to be expensive because my closest GPs in London charge £230 per person over 16, so for me and my partner, plus £60 for chest x-rays each + £40 admin.
So it is gonna go to nearly £700 for the two of us, but who cares right now, this is what money is for!
In addition to the letter, they send a form with our pictures in it that we need to take with us to the GPs + our passport and 2 passport pictures each.
It is quite exciting, I bet some of you will be getting them soon, but if you don't I have to admit that our application was quite simple because we have not lived in many countries and we have always been working for the same company, so I guess that it must have been really easy for them to view the package we sent. I am sure that some other applicants have had several jobs and lived in many different countries, which may make the background check a bit difficult.
With regards to ecas, I don't even know what that is, sorry, so I can tell you what it says there.
