Psychosibes, don't worry mate, hopefully your medical won't be too far and others will follow. Guys one thing that is bothering me is that there is no info. available about the pilot project on net. No timelines, nothing !! It makes me wonder ::). I have seen aleast another few london applicants on other forums who have also received the same letter and have sent their docs to Ottawa. I hope we all be hearing good news soon.

Hello,
It has been a while since we last posted on this thread and want to make sure that it stays active. Has anyone heard anything from Ottawa after sending their documents, even if it is to request additional information.

My documents have been there for nearly 2 months, so I am anxious to hear from them about the next step: medicals. I have a slight fear that they may ask for State Police Certificates, sometimes they do and sometimes they are satisfied with FBI only. Also, they may ask for employment information for spouse, but I am not too sure if old applicants are affected by this old rule. We will have to wait and see.

Any feedback at all?

Thanks

Gentlemen,

I received the letter from Ottawa Case Pilot office sent in March 2010 , only couple of weeks back , due to some address problem , my 120 days complete next month , but I don't have enough time to gather all the documents , espicially PCC from 3 different countries,

Please advise , should I have to send all the documents at a time or just send the filled the forms and rest of the document later.

Best of luck to all waiting to go to Canada.

Hi, you will be required to send all of your documents at this stage. I can only suggest you try to contact them and explain the situation, and hope they are sympathetic. Sorry, I don't know what else to say. Best of luck and let us know how you get on.

Regards

psychosibes

Hello,

I was just reading about the new changes to the canadian immigration system and also the 20,000 cap.

I am wondering if all applicants are going to be affected by this cap and/or new rules, since there have been so many changes, I don't even remember what rules applied when I applied in September 2007. I am starting to stress out about this... especially because we were the lucky ones to get the Ottawa document request letter but ever since we got it back in february/beginning of march, noone else in London has heard anything about their doc request letter, and before us, only a few got the letter around the begginning of November.

Any thoughts on this?

For those applying under the occupation list, the government will limit the number of applications considered for processing to 20,000 per year as a way to better manage the supply of applications with labour market demand. Within the 20,000 limit, a maximum of 1,000 applications per occupation will be considered. The limit does not apply to applicants with a job offer.

This is a quote from the Muchmor Canada website, so you can read what you want into it. I think it will apply to applicants entering the system now.

It won't affect the previous applications at all. It'll only affect those who applied or will apply after on or after 26th June 2010. To be frank, it don't really agree with 1000 per NOC cap thing as it's not official yet. They have reduced NOCs and especially most common ones like 0213,0111 and 1111. So applications will be reduced dramatically anyway.

I have updated trackitt. This is good news because most of you that submitted docs in May or earlier may start receiving them also.

Hey,

Yes, I got it by post and they say to go to CIC website, choose one of the designated GPs and get the test done within 30 days of letter dated 15 July!
It is going to be expensive because my closest GPs in London charge £230 per person over 16, so for me and my partner, plus £60 for chest x-rays each + £40 admin.
So it is gonna go to nearly £700 for the two of us, but who cares right now, this is what money is for!

In addition to the letter, they send a form with our pictures in it that we need to take with us to the GPs + our passport and 2 passport pictures each.

It is quite exciting, I bet some of you will be getting them soon, but if you don't I have to admit that our application was quite simple because we have not lived in many countries and we have always been working for the same company, so I guess that it must have been really easy for them to view the package we sent. I am sure that some other applicants have had several jobs and lived in many different countries, which may make the background check a bit difficult.

With regards to ecas, I don't even know what that is, sorry, so I can tell you what it says there.

Hello,

I found out what e-cas was, and I logged in. I actually remember logging in in the past and under STATUS it said IN PROCESS and it also stated the Date when we applied.

I logged in again today and it is a bit weird because under STATUS there is a blank, it does not say whether it is in process or anything else... the only thing that I can see is my name and my home address, but even the date when I applied doesnt show.

What do you think this means? the layout seems different from what I remember.

Hope you can give me your views.

Thanks.
