my docs reached there on 5th May 2010 and i am hoping AOR email anytime next week as well. Ya i noticed the change in checklist when i printed it of from CIC and that was the one that i sent alongwith my docs., it didnt make much difference in my case as my wife is studying and not working. But if ur partner is working or has worked, u better get her docs ready just in case if VO asks for them. Most likely they might not ask for them but who knows. As far as medicals are concerned, no one would have any idea about it as we have sent our docs to entirely new office, my guess is 2-3 months after docs but see how it goes.

I have received AOR via email from CPP-Ottawa and it's same acknowledgement that everyone else has recived, nothing different.

I have also received my AOR from Ottawa and also the same thing as everyone else. I am still confused as to what this 10 months mean... if they are supposed to finalise this by February 2011, how come we need to contact them then if we havent heard from them at all? I hope medicals are requested in 3 to 4 months.

Yeah that really sounded weird. Finalize by Feb 2011 or hear nothing at all...? Anyway all we can do is wait and stop bothering them so they can work more efficicently !!

Yes, I agree, we should not bother them.
I applied in September 2007 and have never emailed them or contacted them for anything, so I hope that by being patient things will fall into place.

I think no one is bothering them but the thing that really makes me wonder that if the average time is 10 months than it's almost same as CHC London, so where is fast tracking of old applications. It's a pilot project meanz that it's just been opened and would have only only few hundred applications to process, although i only know hadful of apllicants who have sent their docs to CPP. CHC ND deals with thousands of applications and still there avaerage times for the whole process is 6 months, most applicants in India gets their medical request after a month of submission of their docs.

Yes, i am trying to find out if any other consualte is directing application to Ottawa, or if only some of the london ones are dealt by ottawa. does anyone know? In theory, if we are some of the first ones to send documents, it should all go relatively fast, and luckily for me, my life has been pretty simple and straightforward so not much background check necessary, or at least it should be quite easy to do.

Ya edupolo that's what we all think that not much checks are required but we don't know that what's the criteria they use to do the background checks !!!! i did mention earlier that Demascus is another embassy that i know of, one of the applicants from Demascus was asked to send her docs to CPP Ottawa but not many offices are redirecting their apps. as of now !! So fingers crossed.

Guys any updates ? I thought that those who sent their docs in early April will be getiing their Meds by now. M+JM, Psychosibes, any updates ? I hope that you'll be getting ur meds if not this month than June hopefully.

Nope, nothing yet. Our docs were received on 13 April... What makes you say we should get them soon, by June (which would be unbelievably AWESOME)? Coz in that case, how would they justify another 8 months before the visas???
Don't worry, it's all been planned already: as soon as we get the medical check (AKA conditionnal yes), we:
1 scream
2 hug each other (+ the cats if they're around)
3 open the first bottle we can put our hands on (time to restock on vegan champagne!)
4 let you guys know

i was just guessing as they were saying abt fast processing. chc in india issues medical within a month of doc. receipt. remember they said within 10 months in the email you received and not exactly 10 months. so fingers crossed.

Nothing here either. To be honest, we don't expect to get med request until September time.
In the meantime, enjoy the english summer! ;D
