Hey Avalap

Do you think it is correct that , if CIC requested for RPRF then background check is complete . In my case too RPRF was requested some 3 months back and no other info after that .

Hi dear_pnp,

No dude, haven't heard anything from NYC yet, still waiting for PPR. I emailed them on Jan22,2011 but I havent got any reply. Since they requested me to pay RPRF in Nov 2010, I dont think there is any background check pending.

Historically, NYC was pretty quick but of late its very slow. I assume NY Consulate might be understaffed or over burdend with work. Given the snail movement of files at various Visa offices/consulates, I think its best to wait with a ray of HOPE.

No thats not true, I have paid RPRF in October and still waiting for PPR.

You see again I will call this post of yours as a childish one. I do not understand why are you counting the rate when you filled up your ANIP application i.e Mar 2009. What I said is the amount you mentioned in the CIC Additional Supplement form for provincial nominees, the form you signed and sent it to CIC. You certainly did not fill that form on Mar 2009. So why are you counting that ANIP form.

Moreover, if there is any difference in the xchange rate, let there be and show that the amount is less now due to xchange rate. its okay for the amount to be less due to xchange rate. But the important thing is it should be near or around the figure that you quoted.

Good luck, I am not trying to offend anyone out here.

Hi Zorro,

Well, Its only my assumption. I am not aware what the exact process is.
In the past, RPRF and PPR were sent together for most of the applicants, hence I am under the impression that they would request RPRF after completion of all the formalities/background and medical checks. I could be wrong also.

Given the fact that most of us who had our medicals done in June/July and paid RPRF 3 months back are still waiting for PPR, it indicates to me that its not just the background checks but the workload/other factors that is causing the delay.

Hope there is a flood of PPR's coming soon. :)
