I THINK EVERYTHING IS DOING WELL BUT NOT SURE ABOUT SECURITY/CRIMINALITY CHECK. THE FILE WAS LOCK ON MARCH 16, 2015 WHEN THE KID WAS 17 YEARS OLD AT THAT TIME (PRINCIPAL APPLICANT IN PHILIPPINES SPONSOR BY HIS MOTHER IN CANADA) AT THAT TIME NBI POLICE CLEARANCE WAS NOT REQUIRED BECAUSE HE WAS UNDER 18 SO IT WAS NOT INCLUDED IN THE FILE. NOW THE KID TURNED 18 ON SEPTEMBER AND TOLD HIM TO GOT HIS NBI POLICE CERTIFICATE OUT AND READY TO MAIL IT IN CASE CEM ASK IT. YET CEM DID NOT REQUEST IT. I RECEIVED COA ON OCTOBER 22 SO IT MIGHT BE CLOSED TO THE DM.
DO YOU THINK IT'S BETTER TO SEND THE NBI CERTIFICATE WHITOUT THE REQUEST OR THIS IS NOT NECESSARY AT THIS POINT ?

Hello nomerjane,

At the time you filed your application FC3's age was locked in. Visa Offices work differentely. I will advise you to send it to them instead of them requesting it which might delay again the process. But all signs show that the file is in final stage. Let them decide what they will do with it. Write a cover letter then explain to them why you are sending that PPC.

I have a question that's a little off topic.. but I need your opinion or advice.
Let's say if the PA's passport is expiring and gets a new passport during this period while the sponsorship is ongoing.. once he gets a new passport does he have to send a new copy of the passport to the visa office??

If I were the PA, I would send my new PPT since the old one is expiring. I would write a cover letter and explain to them why I am sending my new passport.

I received the famous email from ambassy today! Yeeeey! Visa will be issued on 25th November as stated by email. What a wonderful feeling and I wish everyone gets theirs soon.

my time line is on your left .i ordered the Notes( after my interview in March 2015),and notes say
Eligibility Pass
Medical Pass
Criminality.....
I called my MP last month and got a reply Criminality and back ground check passed ,now my file is awaited for a FINAL REVIEW on 10th OCT 2015 before they make a passport request, its been over a month no email OR no DM on ECAS.( BTW ECAS still says IN PROCESS)
you might be able to throw some light whats going on?

This thread seems interesting. Recently My eCas changed to "In Process" and shows as under:

We received your application for permanent residence on September 30, 2013.
We started processing your application on October 2, 2013.
Medical results have been received.

What do you think? They have not yet informed me about the interview although their last GCMS note mentioned "Interview Recommended" in late 2014. One year gone without informing me about the recommended interview! I will be getting another GCMS note by the end of November.

Have you been in Canada before? if yes, were you deported?
Does your Police Clearance shows some trace...?

Congratulations on passing your interview which is a solid sign that you are finally coming to Canada. Final review will take place when they will clear all the files that are in queue ahead of yours. If they are experiencing backlog at the visa office you will have to wait a little bit long. Visa offices work differently: You might see Decision Made after visa is issued. You have come a long way, few weeks will not hurt you because your timeline proves that you went through thick and thin. All will be over very soon.

Also, if let's say they issue a PPT, n the PA hasn't got the new passport yet since it takes time to issue a new passport n the embassy also has his old passport and hasn't returned the old yet. So, after we get the PPT should we just send a letter explaining we can't provide a passport at this time? What do u suggest? Since usually they provide only 30 days to submit the passport.. n what if not able to submit during that time as don't have the new or old passport. What do u do then?

I really appreciate your quick response. Thank you. Here is the story in short:

I lost my PR as my physical presence in Canada was less than 730 days on a given 5 year period as per rule. My IAD appeal dismissed in mid March, 2013 and I left Canada well within time limit. I got official "certificate of departure" which proves that I left Canada within allowed time frame. I had no criminal record whatsoever and got clean police report both from Canada and Bangladesh. Same with my wife having absolutely no criminal record. We have been happily married for last 23 years with one son and daughter, both are adult Canadian citizens. So far I have received 3 GCMS notes. The first one said eligibility passed. The second one mentioned that there was some allegation received by Mississauga office (it was a really big surprise for me!). But the third one did'nt mention anything about that allegation. Now I am waiting for the 4th GCMS note. What do you think?

They like to keep them informed of anything you think will be important for they to know before they take any decision. Shoot them an email and fully explained to them about the new ppt since they have the old one which is expiring. Fully expressed yourself how long it will take you to get the new ppt, trust they are human beings they will understand you and even further advise you of the next step.

They like to keep them informed of anything you think will be important for they to know before they take any decision. Shoot them an email and fully explained to them about the new ppt since they have the old one which is expiring. Fully expressed yourself how long it will take you to get the new ppt, trust they are human beings they will understand you and even further advise you of the next step.

you mean 4 months after initial application sent to CIC-M or after NDVO receive the application ... and notes will be received on 5 months.
