Saw this below message on December Thread, it is quite informative.

A must watch for people waiting in Express Entry pool.
The video was recorded on May 7, 2016 at Newcomers Canada Fair, held at the Shaw Conference Centre, in Edmonton and the Speaker works for IRCC (CIC).
Highlights :
1) Current draw size is kept low as CIC still has backlogs of paper based PR applications received before Express Entry.
2) The paper based PR application backlogs are expected to be cleared by Sept/ Oct 2016.
3) Once the backlog is cleared, Express Entry will be the only source of Economic stream PR applications.
4) This will result in higher draw size of 2000-2500 ITAs per draw.
5) ITA cut-off scores will "likely drop below 400" to accommodate higher draw size.
Focus on 2 mins clip between 16:30-18:30 for clarification on above points.

They have completed giving AOR to most of December CEC Inland applicants, and its in process. In fact they also give nominations to CEC app.. within a week.

Does anyone know if Jan CEC applicants are being processed right now? I send them an email yesterday but I did not hear back from them yet. I will call them sometime this week to confirm. My WP expires end of June.

Try call them now and raise their awareness. Today's OINP representative sounds like a nice guy.

I called OINP just now. The gentleman who answered the phone seems to be nice, but his answer is unclear. They asked my name and saying my application is in the queue. They said my WP expires in more than a week, so someone will be in touch with me in a few weeks, and then he said in a week or two. Also, I told him that I emailed Ontario, but I haven't heard anything back. Therefore, I am not sure if what he mentioned "someone will be in touch with me" is saying AOR or replying my email. What I am suspecting that I will get the Ontario standard reply in the email.

I sent my email last week (Tuesday May 10th) actually, I made a typo by typing yesterday.
