Hello everyone! I'm looking for advice and help . I am an international student here studying a one-year postgraduate program in construction project management, and after graduation, with a valid job offer letter, can I start my PNP (ONIP) international student stream application?

What is the current timeline to receive a nomination?
Should I take a second course?
Can I apply for a PNP while on a work permit?
Can I include my spouse and child applications in this stream?
During this period, my passport is about to expire next year, in November, so should I renew or reissue it before applying for PGWP or study extension?

Please guide me accordingly, as I am totally confused about where to begin first!

Thanks for your suggestions and advice in advance.

What is the current timeline to receive a nomination? The timeline in the OINP website is not a reflection of what it truly is. It is currently taking forever for most people so it depends on a range of factors which no one can currently guarantee you. In summary, it depends, no one knows.
Should I take a second course? Again, it depends. if your job offer is ongoing, you can apply for OINP then check out all other options. It's hard to say when you will be invited to apply, talk less of when your application will be approved. This whole process can take between 3 months to 1 year.
Can I apply for a PNP while on a work permit? You need a work permit to apply for PNP. I don't think you can even apply for OINP PNP without a work permit.
Can I include my spouse and child applications in this stream? Yes, It doesn't matter if you have a family or not
During this period, my passport is about to expire next year, in November, so should I renew or reissue it before applying for PGWP or study extension? Not sure but you can always update your documentation with OINP or IRCC at any time

Please guide me accordingly, as I am totally confused about where to begin first! someone else can help them out or throw more light in my comments

Thanks for your suggestions and advice in advance.

hello,

Please this response is not gospel everyone's situation is different:
After graduating with a valid job offer you can- just ensure your transcript and degree/diploma are out before EOI. Keep in mind that you get more points for having worked for an employer for more than 6 months.
From what I have seen for international students its between 4 to 6 months (obviously some are shorter or longer).
I am not sure why you need to take a second course, is it because you want a PGWP with more years? I would say be cautious. Its not only about adding another course- you should be mindful of the college and course you are taking otherwise you will waste money.
Well you apply for PNP on work permit. Having a valid work permit gives you more points. You can apply without though. You will just have to wait for either nomination 9Which you can use to apply for work permit) or a PGWP before you can start working.
Yes you can- they are your dependents you dont have to make another application for them.
I would say renew it before PGWP. I have a friend whose passport was about to expire. She got 1.5 years PGWP (until the date her passport was expiring) instead of 3 years.

Is your employer eligible and willing to support your nomination? A job letter is not enough. Most don’t. What is your OINP score when you graduate? Is it enough and is your NOC selected?

For the OINP Employer Job Offer: Foreign Worker stream does it require a New Job offer or

I can register as long as working with same employer on same NOC code for 2+ years and current employer ready to support with the employer form?
