Experts need advise on:

1) I have been asked to provide duplicate ECA report from WES by OINP today. Do I need to request duplicate copy for my spouse ECA too (joint express entry application)?
2) Whats the next steps after the duplicate ECA is requested in terms of timelines in general?

As always thanks in advance for your help & advise!

Not mandatory for the dependent AFAIK.

IMO, really cannot tell. It is random and differs case-by-case. Maybe someone who has observed the Jan/Feb timeline more closely can comment on this.

As always thanks in advance for your help & advise!

hi Raj - quick question - are you 100% sure spouse WES is not mandatory ? becoz i made a profile for my brother 1-2 months back, and spouse's education was adding 2 extra points to the overall score... and as far as i know if you are claiming points for something , you need to give evidence for the same, correct ? what do you think ?

ECA is not mandatory for the dependent. Yes, it does give you points but it is not mandatory. The OP was asking if one has to order a report to be sent directly to OINP for the dependent as well and my opinion was no. IMO, it is sufficient if the PA orders a copy of the ECA to be sent directly to OINP. I have never heard OINP requesting ECAs reports to be sent directly to them for dependents.

OP would have provided a duplicate copy of his/her spouse's ECA report along with the application package.

The duplicate ECA request seems to be the first step in the assessment. Others have got additional documents request after this. So, There is no fixed timeline as far as this is concerned. However, if you get additional docs request, you can be fairly sure that your nomination is nearby..

Do we have any stats for February applicants? How many have recd add doc request?

Well, earlier I requested Feb applicants to share the additional docs request. This will help us to know the status.

My application: 16 Feb FSW outland, AoR: Aug 16 2016

I just received a letter through my online express entry profile letting me know that I am no longer eligible for FSW because my language test results are now expired. The letter was sent automatically exactly 2 years from the date of my tests results. I have already applied for Ontario nomination (in February) and have already received my AOR (in August), but I wonder if I should worry now. I will take IELTS again soon, but it would take a few weeks for me to get the results, and it seems like after that I would have to open a new file online with a new file number. Does anyone have any experience with expired English test results or having to open a new express entry file after already sending an OINP application? Would I have to email them and let them know the new file number? And would they accept that? If they are returning people's applications for things like "missing passport page" will they reject my application if they get to it before I send them the new English scores? Any thoughts or comments will be appreciated.

By the way, if your English results are expiring soon, I suggest that you take the test again as soon as possible!

Thanks, folks!
