I was a March 7 virtual oath. I only checked the certificate portal 2 business days after the oath. Oath was a Friday, I checked on the following Tuesday in the afternoon.

No idea if it was available earlier than that because I didn't check earlier.

At my oath ceremony, they mentioned several times to be patient up to 5 business days after the ceremony. I know it's hard though

Did you get your e-certificate? I still can't get mine. Were you in the Calgary March 26 virtual oath at 10:45am?

Dont stress, everycase seems to be handled differently. Some from AOR september still waiting, some with AOR from January 2025 got the oath hahaha....just chill, the hard part is done, now is a waiting game. Go get a coffee or tea and just take your mind off.....
Honestly, you know what helps the most ? Think of it as you will take oath in 6 months, anything faster, its a bonus

cheers

funny thing is that my daughter's Prohibition was completed while others are not. Meanwhile, I just need Background and Prohibition done to finish this journey

I just called IRCC since it has now been 57 days since my LPP completed (on Jan 30) and no Oath invite yet. The agent I spoke to was very nice... she said that everything looks good on my application and no further information/documents are needed, I just need to wait for next steps... no surprise there, as many other people on here have gotten the same response!

She did tell me that Vancouver is my primary VO, Sydney is secondary VO, and Vancouver is events VO (again not surprising since I live in Vancouver, but good to get the confirmation).

One piece of info that did surprise me: she said that the estimated processing time for my application is based on the current estimate, not the estimate given when the application was submitted. When I submitted on November 1 the estimate was 6 months, but now it is 9 months, and she said that 9 months is the time window that I should be using to determine if the processing time has been exceeded... in other words, I could potentially be waiting until August. Arrgh.

That directly contradicts what I had thought previously! Not sure if it's really true... But if that information is correct, it means that things will be generally slowing down across all applications as we move forward and the estimated processing times start to increase. That might explain some of the delays that people are now seeing. (Of course, individual VO’s do differ dramatically in how fast/slow they are—Vancouver seems to be one of the slowest—hence some people getting their Oaths much more quickly.)

Well shit. That certainly moves the goal posts for everyone.

Yes indeed! However, now that I think about it, I’m not sure that the information she gave me about the time estimates is really correct, for two reasons:

First, it seems to contradict what IRCC says on its own website: “This processing time is how long we expect it will take us to process an application if we receive it today.”

And secondly, if it were true, it would result in many more applications exceeding the estimated processing time when those times are on a downward trend. For example, in March 2024 the estimated processing time for a citizenship application was 14 months, but in October 2024 it was less than half as long, 6 months. So an application submitted in March 2024 would already have exceeded the estimated processing time in October 2024 if the rolling time estimates were used, whereas it would still be on track until May 2025 if the time estimates at submission were used.

Long story short: who knows?? (as with so many other things here!)

I did the oath ceremony this morning at IRCC Vancouver branch. There were 2 time slots at 9 and 11am. Mine was 11am, there were about 66-67 people. It was simple and fast. They gave us the paper certificate of citizenship, whoever wants the electric one had to return the paper certificate. Around 4pm, we received the email with instruction to download the electric certificate from the IRCC portal.
Good luck to all of you who are still waiting!
