The paper certificate was handed out in the ceremony. IRCC chose a honor person to gave the "welcome home" speech => we gave the oath together => we lined up to sign the oath and receive the certificate on the stage => sing the anthem together and it's done. Whoever chose to receive e-certificate will return the paper one to IRCC staff, they told us the instruction to download e-certificate will be within 5 business days, but it was fast, we received it in the afternoon.
I hope I also get the option to choose as would prefer the e- certificate .Mine is in person in Scarborough.Besides the invitation/ consent letter/ 2 ids ,is there anything else we need to take along .Do we need to take the ecorp print out also .
Are we supposed to reply to the invite email or just go straight for the ceremony. Thanks

Read the instruction letter you received and follow its instructions. It will have the requirements for the office which is conducting your ceremony.

For my virtual oath, I did not need my CoPR and only needed to display and then cut up my PR card along with displaying my passport biographical page. The instructions made it sound like if I was using my PR card as one of my IDs, I'd need another Canada-issued government photo ID, so I had my Alberta license ready too, but I was not asked for any other IDs.

Come on IRCC. I just want to see if I'm a Canadian.

Is it me or it feels like applications that are being processed at the Vancouver office are not moving much? Completed LPP on march 15. Citizenship ceremony is showing as not started. Feels like there hasn’t been much movement.

Where do you live? After LPP, a final decison needs to be made. Then the local ircc office takes over and is responsible for scheduling the oath. that's where things may take a while. You just need to be patient. You're almost done.

The tracker doesn't show a key last step which us the final decision being made. A senior officer has to sign off on everything and make that decision. I now recall the IRCC agent tell me this when I called and asked about the process. Again read what I wrote...you might have already had the final decision made and your file is sitting at the local IRCC waiting for oath scheduling.

Thank you! You are right! I am just gonna be happier once I know a positive decision has been made and it’s been approved. I live in Saskatchewan.

You can tell this with GCMS. If you’ve been waiting a while, might as well request GCMS. If you’re waiting more than 30 days, you’ll see what the status is 30 days ago. And if your application is done then, nothing lost.
