To be eligible for a grant of Canadian citizenship, the minor must:

• be under 18 years of age at the time the application is signed;
• be a permanent resident of Canada;
• have at least one parent (includes legally adoptive parent) who is a Canadian citizen or who will become a citizen at the same time as the minor (applying together as a family).

This form and guide is for permanent residents, under 18 years of age, who have one parent who is a Canadian citizen or one parent who is applying for their Canadian citizenship at the same time.

That is correct. With at least one parent as a Canadian citizen at the time of applying, the requirement of physical presence in Canada is not applicable for minors provided they have PR status.

There is no clear guidance from CIC on the processing time for minor's application. But it is definitely shorter considering all of LPP, BV, Citizenship test, Oath is exempted for minors.

Aw man, I see a lot of LPP -> Oath Ceremony with a really close timeline to mine and the same office too. Wonder if something happened to my processing officer lol.

Me too. A lot of people I submitted on the same date as all have oath invitations. Maybe my processing officer never made it back to their desk after the protests.
