October 2022 Citizenship Applications

Hi,
I applied in October 2022 and haven't received the test request yet. Anyone in the same boat?? Most of the people who applied after me, already received the request and gave the test too. I checked my spam folder and nothing there but I am worried that I must have cleared my spam folder by mistake.

Anyway I can check with IRCC on this delay or if they sent me already.?

Hi, I'm in the same boat, but all we can do is wait. We seem to be moving more slowly than many other October applicants.

Just for anyone who might encounter this:
I tried taking the test on the first day of the time window, couldn't log in to the test link with my application# and UCI, I'd get to a webpage saying "our records indicate you have not been invited for the citizenship test".
This persisted until 2 days into the window, I emailed Ottawa's office who recommended contacting technical support (their email address is at the bottom of the test invite pdf). Tech support acknowledged a technical issue and suggested to try the next day, and it eventually worked then.

That is exactly what happened to me as well. We both have got almost same timelines. Probably a one day difference

If I remember, today, 24 April 2023 many have Oath Ceremony Scheduled, is that happened? Mine was on 19th April 2023 and it got cancelled, so just wondering!

No ceremony happening after the strike started. The 25th ones are also cancelled.

IRCC is replying promptly to web forms (got my reply to a question in 2 working days), so may be asking questions about oath (in case anyone has not received cancellations etc.) or additional documents receipt confirmation (this was my case too) can easily get answered via webform

I didn't get a letter yet, that is why I am asking, I want do it , before the letter and send it, because I will be away for 5 weeks and might letter comes and wouldn't be able to do it, I know I can extend, but don't want do that , want do in advance , so any one has the office address who they sent for Finger print result, winnipeg applicant

In my case it took a month, but that was before the strike. There will be a backlog, so buckle up for some delays.
