I was looking at the 2020 outland sheets and it looks like most applicants for other months (except september and october I think) have got their AORs, perhaps august is partway done. (Clearly there are some excpetions but I can't tell how many, presumably some on the spreadsheet have just not updated).Am I the only one noticing that most of the October applicants didn't received the AOR yet? I checked November and December 2020 they are getting their AOR.
Please share some thoughts. Thank you
Thanks for your thoughts. That make sense, they probably give the starting November applicants to new team. I really hope so too, I submitted our papers last October and they received it on the 16th. So it seems like at least as far as AOR1 is concerned, they are working through the backlog. I think what they've done is segregate 'new arrivals' starting in November to a different team or process.
But at any rate, it looks like they are getting to them, hopefully will pick up shortly for september and october as well.
We're in the same boat: App arrived in Sydney in early October (per FedEx tracking) , but still waiting for official word from Immigration Canada. Thanks for your thoughts. Us September applicants are also stuck with you guys. I believe we our two months will move together, whenever they blow the dust off. This is so annoying, Jan files are moving not OCT files. I'm paranoid that we might be in the hole of waiting. I see some examples that people are waiting since 2019 -- No one want's to be that position, Can we apply for TRV(Visiting Visa)? Does anyone have any if they are processing any Visit visa applications?
You can apply for TRV. They are processing them for those who have exemptions, i.e. immediate family in Canada. It's not a guarantee you will get it, but sure - apply. Can we apply for TRV(Visiting Visa)? Does anyone have any if they are processing any Visit visa applications?
Same here, I submitted it in Sydney office and received last Oct 16th. I feel a bit frustrated of what's happening, but I will wait till March or April. If we still didn't received any word from the Immigration, I don't know what to do next. Maybe resubmit application? We're in the same boat: App arrived in Sydney in early October (per FedEx tracking) , but still waiting for official word from Immigration Canada.
It does feel like October apps have fallen into a Black Hole, while November/December/January apps are happily moving forward, but it's the end of the process that counts, not the beginning.
Although it would be nice to know the process has begun!
Our application was received on Oct 5th, and my wife called a week or two ago, and they confirmed that they did have it and were working on it, but that was all they told her. But how long it takes for someone to go through and make sure its all filled out correctly? Who knows. Doesn't seem like it would take that long to me, but what do I know.Same here, I submitted it in Sydney office and received last Oct 16th. If you're American, enter now as a visitor and extend if needed. Our application was received on Oct 5th, and my wife called a week or two ago, and they confirmed that they did have it and were working on it, but that was all they told her. All I do know is I have a lot riding on this being a smooth process lol. My lease ends after next month, I'm getting rid of most of my stuff and staying with my brother until I'm approved and can move. We have hopeful plans of moving in July, since I'll be halfway to Canada during that time. But who knows, which is the hardest part. If things don't go to plan, I don't know what we'll do. visit on the 6 month they allow Americans to be there and hope it gets approved in that time?
I'd like to, if I had everything ready to go down here to move, but I'm also worried about them turning me away at the border, or pissing them off enough that I get some kind of ban from entry for however long. So we've always planned to just have me move once my PR is approved, especially now with the restrictions and mandatory hotel stay/cost, we'd like to minimize those costs as wellIf you're American, enter now as a visitor and extend if needed.
