Hi Guys, anyone here from Hamilton?

My AOR is January 30/2020 and in process February 17/2020.

Nothing since then.

My PR card is expiring in a month and i am just confused whether i need to get it renewed or not? Do we need a valid PR card for oath? Does the renewal going to affect my citizenship file? I have no travel plans until my citizenship process is done. Anyone can help?

Are you done everything and just waiting for oath ceremony? I suggest not to bother renewing it unless you will have urgent travel. If you've done your test and waiting for oath - you'll likely not even get the replacement in time. On the day of your oath ceremony you will cut your card with an agent on screen, anyways. They ask you before the ceremony if you intend on traveling within the next 8 weeks, I guess so they can process the certificate quicker if needed. In any case, my ceremony is done, no PR card, no Canadian certificate yet, no Canadian passport...I'm bound here until I get my certificate and can go apply for my passport.

TL;DR - You have to cut your card at the oath ceremony anyways, it doesn't matter if it's expired. If you're just waiting on the oath, don't bother renewing it unless you forsee urgent travel in the next couple, 3, 4 weeks.

Hey. Did anyone recently see any oath invitations for applicants who gave tests/interviews in the last month? Do they usually wait for a group to form within a certain period?

Finally, some good news! Got test invite for myself and wife from London, ON. Looks like there is some movement at London, ON office now.

Admin- please update tracker.

I wrote my test January 2 and my oath was March 8. There were 25 applicants, all from the same VO - Winnipeg and area. I believe the max on Zoom is 25, so maybe they try to fill that. There is a lot of administration that happens at the virtual ceremonies. You need to meet individually with an agent both before and after the oath ceremony. Then you need to submit your oath document via PDF. I can see now why it takes time.

Crack open a tester sized bottle of champaign to the next step and keep on waiting for the Oath, I guess... One step at a time

Congrats. So you won't get another request now including Finger prints, further documents. Just Oath invite. Hang in there, just few more days/weeks :)

Did you guys get any sort of confirmation from the officer after sending additional documents and Microsoft Teams consent before the interview? Just an acknowledgement of receiving the email would be fine but didn't get any yet.
My wife and I didn't get any response. We emailed more than 2 weeks ago. It depends on the officer probably. They aren't supposed to respond to us officially like AOR so it's all a personal choice.

My happy update:

Office: Mississauga
Teste invite received: March 4th
Test taken: March 9th (passed 20/20)

My husband didn’t receive the test invite yet, though. We sent the applications together. I was asked to provide FP last year. He wasn’t.

It took me longer to get a good photo of my ID than to complete the test LOL!
Just hope they don’t see a problem because I had my hands on my chin during the first part of the test.
