No. It is nothing to do with the application.

If you go to the ECAS front page at https://services3.cic.gc.ca/ecas/authenticate.do, the edited date is there (2017/1/5) in the bottom right. At that point, the website has no idea who's using it. So it can only be serving you information which applies to everybody. Which means it's the site itself.

Umm... I have no idea what you think is funny? But literally anything, they change the site update date whenever they update anything on the site. Change the background colour from one shade of grey to another. Correct a typo in an explanation note. Resize the tables. All of those would result in changing the date when they last updated the site. Which has nothing to do with anybody's individual case.

**Update for Quebec applicants** I just checked the Government Quebec website and it states they are reviewing applications for spouses that were received as of Nov 9th:

"The Ministère is currently processing the sponsorship applications of spouses and common-law partners as well as dependent children received by November 9, 2016"

Hopefully we'll hear good news from them soon!

This is so exciting! Yay! Where do you find this info? Do you have a link? I'd like to add it to the list of things I obsessively check everyday :)

TIRED OF THE WAIT... ******Depressed*******

Reference for other Quebec applicants, I just received my CSQ today. My application to them was delivered November 8th, so if yours was received by them before November 9th (still their latest update), yours should probably be on its way. :)

Haha :) here's the site: http://www.immigration-quebec.gouv.qc.ca/en/immigrate-settle/sponsors-sponsored/index.html

Thanks for the update nNai! We applied at the end of Nov. Are you sending a copy to your VO? I believe they should have received it from Quebec but I'm not 100% sure.

Yes I did. My VO is Ottawa, so I uploaded an electronic copy via GCKey and also mailed them a hardcopy, just in case something goes wrong with the upload or they actually need a physical copy.

Ottawa just requested the CSQ, having just updated my medicals to "passed", but my background check just went from "not needed at this time" to "in process" and back again to "not needed at this time", so I've no idea how much longer till I get a decision on my application. Hoping it's within the month, but maybe that's too optimistic.
