Hello there I'm new to this forum, hoping us all a speedy acceptance letter !

Ive received a email stating 10/27/16 my application was received and my medicals have passed. Inpatiently waiting ... Smiley

Hi All,

I am new here. Just got SA Mail! :D :D
Application Received : 18-10-2016
AOR1 : 05-11-2016
SA Mail : 17-11-2016

Hello All,

So I have called IRCC at (1-888-242-2100) and asked regarding my application. My wife's first application Number which they send with AOR1 and the UCI number has been cancelled because the person who opened my application didn't paid enough attention to our application. As I have immigrated to Canada 13 years ago I have had a UCI number from then and they just had to open a new application number. But instead they assigned a new UCI and Application number to our file. Then they cancelled it and used my UCI number from 13 years ago and assigned a new application number to it.

No wonder why it takes IRCC to process applications!!!!!!

Hi all , My application was received on the 19th . AOR1 on Nov 9th but up until
today no SA yet ....most of who have AOR1 same period has received their SA
getting worried now....

Everyone I thought this is useful if you were wondering. I got this info from the email IRCC sent to me when I requested update:

MyCIC vs e-CAS

Your online statuses may be different depending on which tool you use because:

Your MyCIC account:
provides status for each step needed to process your application, and
is updated in real-time.

The Check application status tool (e-CAS):
provides a general status, and
is updated on Tuesdays only.
Your MyCIC account provides the most accurate status for your application.

Processing times - Sponsorship of a member of the family class

When you send an application to sponsor a member of the family class, the process is done in two steps. There are different processing times for each step.

Step 1: Sponsor eligibility
An officer at the Case Processing Centre (CPC) in Mississauga, Ontario, will verify if the sponsor meets the sponsorship requirements. If the file is transferred to the local office for further verifications, the processing time listed on our website no longer applies. Please note that no acknowledgement letter is sent before this step is completed.

If you are residing in Quebec, the Ministère de l’Immigration, de la Diversité et de l’Inclusion (MIDI) will send you other documents to complete.

Step 2: Final decision
The CPC in Mississauga will send the file to the responsible office. The office will decide if the person being sponsored and their family members, if applicable, meet all the requirements to become permanent residents of Canada. The processing time for this step is different for each office.

For more information, please consult our Help Centre or visit our website.

You can call 1-888-242-2100 and ask for an update if it is over 27 days from the time they received your application!

Hi everyone.

The Sponsorship application of my husband was received by CIC Feb 28. 2016
May 26 2016 He went for his medical exam.
From then on to this date we don't have any updates what is going on to his papers.

Last Monday Oct 24 2016. He received a letter about Pre-arrival service Before arriving Canada.
It's a information only, it doesnt include any letter that the immigration is requesting for his passport to be sent over to Canadian
visa office in Manila.

I am worried and frustrated. What is the sense of letter Pre-arrival services? If that is for info only what's the used of it the info if he has nothing to use it for? where is his passport request letter?
what is the point of sending that info and only applicable only for Canadian and Permanent residents..

Whats the meaning of that? Should we assume now that his papers is all good?

Please advised..thanks

Got the same email yesterday but no PPR. Any updates? Thanks!

I received my email showing I was approved to sponsor my husband just last night :D

I expect that now his file will go to Sao Paulo, where they will open it 8 months from now :P
