Oct 19, 2015 Applicant.

Received the Passport request today (25th May, 2016).

I have a question though. My Passport expires in 5 months but the email says, the passport should be valid for at-least 6 months. Should I renew it first?

Hi guys,
Can any one clarify my situation. My wife is sponsoring me. She was PR when she applied for me but this she got her citizenship. My application was submitted Sep 2015. My medical has been expired this April. I did my medical April 2015 but that time my wife lost her job so my application was submitted in Sep 2015. My visa office is Singapore. I got my AOR1, AOR2 and SA. My SA and PR both ecas status shows "in process" since December 2015. The last e-mail i received from SVO was my AOR2. since no response. Many of September applicants are getting their PPR. I'm confused now.. Can't miss my wife anymore... want to be with her and start our life together.... Can anyone please clarify my situation. Any response is hugely appriciated. Thanks in advance....

Did you ordered your gcms note? if not you should, you will see what they have doned in your application so far. And go read this thread, we are folk who have to deal with SVO.

I thing if you didn't get news from SVO so far after AOR2 it's a good sign, no doc request or even worse an interview letter. From what I read SVO is quick for something at least, sending the interview letter ( around 2-3 months after being in process) In your case so far so good ;)

When my wife landed in BC from Washington State, we put her car on the goods to follow form. My question is, do I have to follow the same procedure that someone who wasn't landing but just bringing a car from the US? or do we just drive to the Canadian border, hand them our B4 Form(Goods to Follow) and they stamp it? I am very confused on this subject. Could someones possibly list the steps that someone took before to bring their car from the US to Canada while landing! Any help would be great!

Got CoPR today. Landing at the end of June

I landed and brought my car a few days ago.
Not all land border crossing export/import cars.
Go to Canadian border services agency to read and get links to export the car from your country and to then import to Canada.
You have to pay online to get a employer ID number then you get online a itn and fill out RIV forms and pay RIV fee. At least 72 hours before you cross you submit info online including copy of your car title so they can search and make sure it's a clear title and not stolen. Your vehicle must be paid for or you have to get a release.
When you cross the border leaving your country tell them you are exporting. Then go to the Canadian border and tell them you are importing. It only takes a few minutes each side. And if you are also landing, yes it goes on the B4 form. You can't sell your car for one year after importing. You go to Canadian tire with your RIV forms and recall clearance to get an inspection once you are in Canada. Get a drivers license. Then get your car insured. If you can get proof of your insurance claim record for the past 8 years it will be 50 percent cheaper.
Good luck.
