This is my first time to inquire about my application. I called today and the agent is very kind he told me that I am already approved as sponsor. I didnt receive any AOR and the agent put note on my file that I am waiting for a hard copy of sponsorship approval. me and needhimback has the same situation I sponsored my X 10yrs ago. To you my friend needhimback its your turn now.

Hi All...

My husband got his COPR today! We are freaking out slightly as we did not expect it for several months and had hoped to move this time next year. Our son doesn't even have his citizenship (certificate) yet!

Our application took less than 4 months total.

Hoping some others got good news today!

My husband got his COPR today! We are freaking out slightly as we did not expect it for several months and had hoped to move this time next year. Our son doesn't even have his citizenship (certificate) yet!

Our application took less than 4 months total.

Hoping some others got good news today!

Will do - thanks! I've no idea what we're going to do. He will have to "land" and fly back to us on 2 one-way tickets I think. We are truly not ready to arrive until this time next year. However, I think returning after 4-6 months won't be an issue. (My mom will courier is PR card to us in Oz.)

Hi guys. I'm not sure if I will join this thread because I filed my application September 29 and they received it october 3,2015. So I'm just assuming I can join this group


Any update on your filing?

Here's my timeline and I feel like it takes forever for them to review my file.. I need my husband to be here before april 4 (Our baby's due date) but looking at our timelines maybe it was so impossible to happen.

AOR: Received
Medical: Upfront
Medical Done: 08/15/2015
File Transfer: 12/8/2015
AOR2: 01/13/2016
Passport Request: Waiting
Visa Issued: WAiting
Landed: Hopefully Soon

My timeline is very close to yours. I haven't received my AOR2, but I have read that the Ottawa VO doesn't send them. My file started processing on Dec 16th.

Me too! And I suspect others would be far more prepared.

We are a pretty straightforward case; I was born in Canada, we have been married for a few years, have a child, and have never sponsored anyone. We also were processed through Sydney, AU which is known to be a quick office.
