I think if the applicant application is in process then that means the sponsor got approved no?

perhaps you didn't get email or something but if the website says so.. it may well be true!!

Well when I log on using my UCI it shows in process
Doesnt show in process for applicant

Also shows on my part (sponsor) started processing application on oct 4 and I got my AOR on 5

Anybody else have any idea lol

I think congratulations are in order!
My sponsor got SA but using UCI it shows in process and my part didn't show in process for a week after and sponsor still shows in process now.

Celebration Time!

So hey everyone,

Haven't been posting a lot lately, school and work has kept me busy. I've been waiting painfully like the rest of you guys have and I didn't receive anything in the mail from CIC, well maybe I did, I haven't checked it since like Wednesday.

I go to the CIC website, I try my UCI which I thought was the same as my citizenship number. No dice, the format is evidently different. I saw their info screen and saw the record of landing. I still have the paper that shows my record of landing over 20 years ago in Canada. I nervously type it and and BOOM applications show up.

Two lines of information. AOR was given the same day they got the application in hand, cross referencing the Canada Post and CIC website (AOR in 1 day?! I think unheard of eh).

Second line of info, "We started processing your application on December 14, 2015". Vague, not sure what it means but I'll take it as a good sign!

Time to update the October 2015 timeline ;D

PS. Oh I see a table too when I log in, Sponsorship Application Status shows in Progress and Permanent Residence Application Status shows received.

I know what the sponsorship one means, they've processed the application, but does the PR one stay as application received until the sponsorship application is completed processing?

Exciting times indeed!!!

Tip of the Day - SIGN IN TO CIC's Website!!! You never know if they already notified you considering I got nothing by email, nothing in junk, only provided one email address AND nothing in the mail (Will update you guys about the mail thing, haven't checked in a few days so if something DID turn up in the mail, I'll give CIC a little more credit).

One question; did you see medical received when you opened your file

I too have two lines but a little different from yours and still waiting on SA
You can now add your info to the new and improve spreadsheet

Nope, I don't have medical received, which is strange because actually she got the medical done before we submitted the application because that's what the guide for her country told us to do.

Don't worry my medical was done before we mailed application and it took about a week after SA for medical to show received.

Yea that is strange, but I was just told if the applicant status part shows in process then that's a good sign that SA is complete but in my case and your case it only indicates application received - so as it stands now they are still processing the sponsor's part and no decision has been made for SA yet

Don't worry my medical was done before we mailed application and it took about a week after SA for medical to show received.

So why am I showing medical received ???
There's really no consistency with the way they note things
It can be real confusing too

I just have to wait patiently I guess

My application was received by CIC on 6.10.2015. Have not received AOR or SA yet. Unable to check the application status. Used my unique ID number given in my COPR and also in the PR Card in the format 0000-0000. Used country of birth and date of birth. Still no luck. Any one had similar issue, please share..

Did you provide your email as a way of communication between you and CIC? If you did not, then they will send the correspondence through regular mail (Canada post).
But since it's been more than 64 days from the day Mississauga received your application I suggest you try calling them.

Permanent Resident Application Status: In Process

1. We received ...'s application for permanent residence on October 19, 2015.
2. We started processing ...'s application on December 17, 2015.
3. Medical results have been received.

AOR1: Dec 8, 2015
SA: Dec 16, 2015

What does this all sum up to guys?

My application has been forwarded to CPC-Ottawa.
