No news yet from me! After my application went to "in process", there has not been any further progress. The "in process" was over a month ago.

Me too....nothing has changed in ECAS, mine also only says "Application received" since december!

My application also went in process in March and from the information have gathered on my VO, it takes at least two months for PPR after the file went into process for the best case scenario.

Hoping to hear something from them in the month of May or June.

Medicals is valid up to 2 August 2015 as confirmed by them in an email.

Best of luck to you all and hoping to hear some good news soon from the October thread ;)

It's definitely frustrating! My medicals expire in a month. I hope this is over by then but I'm not getting my hopes up!

No movement since mid Feb. Hoping to hear some good news soon

Let's all get together and buy a round of Tim Horton's coffee for our VO office with a message from the October 2014 forum.

Maybe it'll get things moving?

this wait is just frustrating....ndvo sucks

Greetings everyone,

I am a newbie here and I would really appreciate if you can help me answer some of my questions. My wife is in Canada and I am here in Doha qatar. She has been in Canada since 2010. She has applied for both our permanent resident application last January 2013 and she received a reply the canadian embassy is processing her request only last May 2014. Now on my side here in qatar I received an email from the Abu Dhabi canadian embassy that they have been identified as her sponsored applicant last Sept 2014 and they have requested for my documents to be submitted within 90 days. I sent all my documents/forms on November 2014 however until now I havent received any reply from them.

1. I havent done my medicals because they said it would just expire and I need to take it again if they will request it after it expires (will this be a cause of delay?)
2. I havent received any reply from them since they have sent me an email informing me that I have been identified as the spouse applicant (should I be following up?)
3. Should I be calling or sending them a letter?
4. Will I be able to be with my wife this year? (any hints?)

Thank you everyone, wishing us all good luck and god bless

Regards,

Toby Grin

Drax, so does my husband. I think you either leans towards the skunky over roasted flavor of Starbucks and Timmies or the more caramel'y flavors of the milder coffees.

The processing time for applications through Abu Dhabi office is 13 months, so you have not exceeded the processing time. However, you could try to ask your wife to contact your MP to find our more information on the status of your application.

1. When they request your medicals, they shouldn't take too long to process them, so your medicals shouldn't expire. However upfront medicals
can help an application to be processed quicker.
2. Try following up through your MP. Most VOs do not reply to emails, but you can try to email them if you wish.
3. Unless it's an emergency emailing would be the best form of contact
4. Nobody can answer this question for you with certainty. Only the VO could answer that question. However, it does seem as though your application is close to the last stages of processing - as they have requested documents - but the processing of your application with these new documents, could still take a couple of months

Please refer to this forum to get an idea of applications processed through Abu Dhabi
