copy paste of paragraph
"If the Right of Permanent Residence Fee is applicable to your application and you have chosen to defer payment of that fee, you will be contacted to make the payment at a later date. A Permanent Resident Visa cannot be issued to your relative(s) until this payment is submitted."

exactly, see that word IF the sentance starts with? that means it's not talking specifically about your file. that means IF you didn't send it upfront, your visa office will contact you when it's time to pay it so they can issue the visa. this doesn't mean your receipt was lost or misread. this is a standard form letter that your information was added to. as said already, there's nothing to be concerned about. celebrate receiving SA!

Thanks, you are right. it is generalized statement, not customized.
thank you so much

Congrats on getting your SA. I am really happy for you.
But again I had mentioned this last time and some of the forum members were offended. I got my AOR via email 5 days before you and and 14 days since AOR and no email after that whats so ever. I am trying to stay positive but it seems like CIC people have no system of handling files they just do what ever they feel like.

Again big congrats for your SA. Hopefully I get my SA soon but by the looks of it they are not going to email me anything and change processing times and I'll have to run around it like Tannygirl is.

Oh, i would be super nervous also. Did you call CIC?

Hello everyone,

Got AOR email today. Hoping to get SA soon. :)

I totally understand everyone's frustration. The waiting and not knowing is the hardest part. I did speak with a Director for CIC who deals with the website. He said that all of our frustrations are known and they are working on changing things but it is a slow process. Part of the problem is that we are all calling the call centre looking for information about our status, so those agents are not able to work on cases. Aside from EI, CIC is the most called department in the government! I told him that this made perfect sense to me as our lives are on hold and we have no control, nor any idea about when things will end, hence the many phone calls. I believe they are working on a system of more regular status updates, but I have also heard that in other departments where they tried this, it was a complete failure.

In short, as much as it is painful and completely makes no sense, all we can do is wait. Remember why you are doing this. In the span of a marriage of 50 or 60 years, 10 months to a year is nothing. Easy to say, harder to believe.
Best of luck to everyone. Hopefully you will see some progress soon.

Yes I did call them and they said that they have their fingers up their nose and can't do anything till it passes the processing times on the website. Call Centre agents are more useless then the visa officers. In a couple of days I will cross the 90 days mark. Sorry for my bad mood but it's ridiculous how they can do whatever they want and no one can say anything to them.

We don't know their situation. Let's give them the benefit of the doubt and stay positive. They are working, and hopefully things will pick up soon.

Dont be sorry! Yes, let's be happy for others, but let's express our bad moods also, i though this is one of the reasons why we have this thread.

Kassine, i always thought call centre agents are not those ones who work on the cases. They have no power, no special information, just because they do not work on cases. So why our phone calls slow down the process? I thought they just log to the system, read some info and go, next phone call. Does it not work like this?

You can call them at 1-888-242‑2100. Most of the times it will disconnect your call saying there are too many callers, but keep trying. My application reached on Oct 22nd as well.
I called them last week. On tuesday they told me they dont have any information yet, call back in 2 weeks. The impatient person I am, I called again on thursday and got a verbal AOR over the phone this time with a temp file number. Then last saturday I got an email AOR as well around 2pm. Nothing after that though.
I would suggest, call and find out.

Still waiting for AOR. Application Oct 22. Called 1-888 number but taking to all kind of automated stuff. will try again....patience is being taught. :(

if you are at 90 days, then you are past the processing time, and they will be more willing to help. also in the past, there are people who confirmed SA over the phone rather than actually getting an email. it does happen sometimes that SA is given and no email/letter is received, so if you haven't called CIC in a while, then now would be the time to do it.

What do u mean by that u can get an SA over the phone. How does that work. So you are saying u possibly won't get any email or mail at all then how do we know that our file has been transferred to visa office. Thanks

Smiley S Congrats on your SA!!!!

I'm remaining hopeful that today and tomorrow they'll pump out some more AOR's and SA's like they did Thursday and Friday of last week. ;D
