tnx again, quick question guys. i just checked application status online, with the UCI provided along with email(for spouse visa), soon after logging in, this shows my CITIZENSHIP status as complete? isint this wierd? or with the UCI# should i fill in my wife details, i.e last name & DOB. ::) to get status of spose visa??

Did you recently become a citizen? I have a UCI number, only because I had to submit for proof of citizenship (born abroad). When I log in, it shows my application as completed with all the details linking out under "completed".

Hi, oh yes recently, nov 25. this is funny, not sure how come a mix up happens with my citizenship status & spouse visa lol !!

Oh, I think, and I could very well be wrong, that they continue to use the same UCI number originally assigned to you. Another thing I remember, the system is only updated once or twice a week. So if you keep checking back over the next week, you may see the status change and address the SA. When my certificate was mailed to me, it took 7 days to arrive. I spoke with CIC about 2 days after it was printed and mailed and they told me my status, but ECAS still showed "in process". Then the day before it arrived in the mail, ECAS had finally updated to "complete".

You are correct. The UCI number is assigned when you submit any immigration related requests. I am still using the same UCI when I had come on a study permit 7 years ago.

I just got another AOR. My first one was by phone, and the one I received today was by email, with a different UCI. That's interesting. I thought they used your old UCI - same one as study permit/ work permit UCI.

you should get SA soon.

I hope so. I think the October SAs will start rolling out in the coming week!
All the best everyone! ;)
I am hoping that my PR gets processed in Mississauga, but that's wishful thinking!

will keep posted on updates, tnx guys!!

Received SA this morning by email, 2 days after receiving AOR by email. It's been 56 days since our application was received by CIC. Yay!

Edit: Just received email requesting photographs, an "updated information chart" and a photocopy of all pages of the applicant's passport.

Congrats everyone who got their SA.
I was just thinking. Since they keep some files in Mississauga for processing, I hope it doesn't slowdown the SA process.
