I think so because I got an email on January 19th stating got approved for sponsorship and they are forwarding file to NDVO and then my wife got this email on Feb 3rd about AOR.. and thats it. Guess things r going in right direction. :'(

You are pretty much the exactly the same date we got our SA and AOR2. You are either entering the applicants information incorrectly or its has not been update which i doubt it now since we can access it.

Just to be clear you are doing:

Which category did you apply for?
Sponsorship

More specifically, which category of sponsorship did you apply for?
sponsoring a spouse yada yada ouside of Canada

and are putting the identification type as Client ID number (UCI) or immigration file number of application number of the applicant?

just because you have the same dates, and YOU can sign into ECAS doesn't mean anything for anyone else. what happens with your information isn't necessarily what will happen with someone elses, even if it's in the same visa office. perhaps your files are on different desks, and the visa officer that handles your app is quicker or updates more regularly than another visa office.

the applicant not being able to sign into ecas means absolutely nothing. at all. it doens't mean anything is wrong with the application. it simply means the file has not been updated online. this also is no reflection as to what's going on with the application, since generally whatever happens in ecas happens AFTER the applicant/sponsor already know about it. quite frankly, there really is no reason for the applicant to be able to sign in using their information. updates on the applicant's file can be seen by signing in with sponsor information. there is no reason to panic or incite panic about this. again, it means nothing.

My apologies I didnt mean to raise an alarm. As I had mentioned earlier the ECAS is not the most update to date thing and for the reasons mentioned by rhcohen2014

You still should be able to see any update through the sponsors page as well

Just a note, I had trouble signing in to my ecas as well (I'm the sponsor) until I realized I was using my husbands UCI number.

On my SA letter I was given a UCI number and on my husbands AOR letter he had his own UCI number.
The were off by one number (for example my UCI #: 22334455, my husband UCI #: 22334456), and me not paying attention, memorized my husbands, thinking they were the same for me and him.

So when I logged into ecas with my information and his UCI number on my desktop it never worked, but when I did it from my phone it worked, because I had the correct UCI number (mine) saved there.

Now that I got it all straightened out, everything works perfectly!

Hey everyone, good luck with the application to all who read this post.
Just joined this wonderful forum and was wondering if there would be anyone who applied for sponsorship from Armenia threw Warsaw. it says that they received the application but they mixed our application sent in October 8 th 2014 with inland application and I got sa approved in feb 2015. My question was if anyone had something like this or not.

I sent an email to my VO i.e Pretoria asking for my medicals and they have responded that they have well received same and today i've noticed that Ecas has changed to medical received.

P.S I guess it's true that Ecas updates on Wednesday and it's your best bet to check it on Wednesday rather than daily to see any changes.

It was faster that we thought.

Oh my goodness, that was really fast! Congratulations! We're also going through Paris and our file was received there not long after yours. I know that every case is different, but ours is pretty straightforward, so your post gives me a little bit (just a little bit) of hope!

I got the AOR stating my UCI and application number on Dec 31st. I checked ECAS and it says "We received your application for permanent residence on October 17, 2014. Medical results have been received." and the status for Permanent and Sponsor Application both say Application received. I called CIC Mississauga and they say my application is in Manila. So that must mean they approved me right? But I never got any other email or letter other than the AOR. And the AOR only came to me and not my husband who I am sponsoring. I'm just worried because I have no proof that my application is in Manila or that it was even approved at all

You are the sponsor correct? The one with AOR with your UCI must be the SA for you the sponsor which is correct then it came to you and does it say "You have met the requirements for eligibility as a sponsor. Accordingly, the Application for Permanent Residence for your relative(s) has been forwarded to a visa office abroad for further processing."

And it would also say its not been transferred to the visa office which must have happened. As you may know not all visa office's give your AOR2 so your husband might not hear back till they request for passport or contact him for any other documents.
