What's next? does that mean my documents were complete?

I'm happy because that $230 extra was my major concern at this time!!!

Congratulations and yes your documents are complete but they might ask you additional documents if required in future but your application won't be returned

Canada Citizenship web page estimates that it takes about 2 years to get citizenship but I see from spreadsheets of 2014 applicants that many of them get it in 8 months. Do you know how long it takes to get citizenship after the file is transferred to the local office?

It depend of your local office, some are slower than others (Scarborough #1).

Also the complexity of your case, and ... the productivity of the agent in charge of your file =)

Congrats! You're giving me hope! My app. was received on the 24 and am still waiting for that email But at least I know that they are still processing late Oct. applicants.

ECAS normally gets updated every Tuesday

That's what they say, but it seems like it happens whenever they get around to it. My updates showed up on Fridays, but status date was Thursday.
