My letter took 8 days to get to me. Sent 19 August -- received 26 August. And that was just to go about 100 km. That said, even with the holiday it should have arrived for you by now. I'll call and pester them Tony

Well -- the situation as I envision it is this: 1) you drive up to the border and present your US passport 2) official asks how long you've been in Canada -- you reply 4 years 3) this answer raises questions - -do you then present your Canadian passport as proof that you live in Canada...

I'm taking everything I took to my interview -- which was my copies of the application forms, passport and COPR, and PR Card, IDs, and some boarding passes from a trip I took. Tony

After I become a Canadian citizen later this month I will have both my US citizenship and the Canadian. As such I will have two passports. So I am wondering what the best practice is for travel to and from the USA, in particular day trips by car, as I am close to the border. 1) show US passport...

In reality they update all the time -- not just Tuesday. My timeline is 51 days between interview and letter for oath. (29 June to 19 August) for Surrey. 38 days from Decision made (11 July) to Oath letter. Status updated 9 days later on a Friday Tony

It changed to Decision Made on 11 July --- and even though they say that eCas updates on Tuesday -- it really updates on other days too! Bottom line -- whenever they get around to it! BTW -- My journey from landing on 14 October 2011 to my oath date will be 3 years 11 months Tony

I gave the call centre a ring and the guy, who was really really nice, laughed and said "no -- its generic -- you don't have to take the test -- unless you REALLY want to." I can't wait -- wonder how long it will be till oath Tony
