    Oath Letter Not Received

My letter took 8 days to get to me. Sent 19 August -- received 26 August. And that was just to go about 100 km. That said, even with the holiday it should have arrived for you by now. I'll call and pester them Tony

In Process to Decision Made... Sep. 07 Back to In Process...What does that mean?

Quite honestly, probably nothing. eCas is notoriously flaky that way. Tony

    Post Citizenship Passport Question

Well -- the situation as I envision it is this: 1) you drive up to the border and present your US passport 2) official asks how long you've been in Canada -- you reply 4 years 3) this answer raises questions - -do you then present your Canadian passport as proof that you live in Canada...

    Post Citizenship Passport Question

After I become a Canadian citizen later this month I will have both my US citizenship and the Canadian. As such I will have two passports. So I am wondering what the best practice is for travel to and from the USA, in particular day trips by car, as I am close to the border. 1) show US passport...

How often do you check you ECAS?

I check several times a day as I have found that the 'update Tuesday' note is totally incorrect. My interview line showed up on a Friday! On a side note, I think the government of Canada has realised that ALL of their websites, not just immigration, are in a very bad state. I recently...

My MP has told me that he will attend my ceremony if I call his office in advance and if parliament is not in session. No word from my MLA. Its a nice gesture. Too bad I won't vote for either when I can vote ;D Tony

    Oath to the Queen

Personally I don't understand what they issue is here. I love this country, I love all that the nation stands for, and will be proud to stand there and swear that oath to our head of state. This nation, Canada, has been good enough to grant me the privilege of being one of its people, equal to...
