Central Canada usually has the fastest processing time from what I have seen. if you provided an email, you can check to see if you received an email AOR (search for "Do not reply" bcos that's the subject CIC gives to their email). If you don't see anything just be patient and wait until last week in January. Alternatively, you could speak to a CIC agent and provide him/her with your tacking no and receipt no. This may help them locate your application and tell you the status of the application. Good luck!!!
Don't worry, you would be fine.Nov 06 said:That's right TheCoolGuySam. My son's passport was issued 3.5 years ago few months before our landing in June 2011. My wife's passport as mine were issued in 2010. So these passport covers 4 years until the application date. It is just my son's few month short of the 4 years. I guess I should have mentioned in the cover letter the he didn't have a passport earlier and it would be better if I scanned my wife's old passport and his page.
No matter how many times you check the application and documents, there will be something missing. It is just our nature. Let's hope it won't be an issue and I will get my AOR soon.
That's correct... this period is prior to our landing and of course not counted toward our physical presence.thecoolguysam said:Don't worry, you would be fine.
I suppose that your wife's old passport expired in 2010 which had your son's name on it?
It means that your son was without a passport from 2010 to june 2011, correct?
I wish you good luck and all the best. Cheers!Nov 06 said:That's correct... this period is prior to our landing and of course not counted toward our physical presence.

I applied for my citizenship on Oct 27, and the application was delivered on Oct 30, 2014. I got the paper acknowledgment on Dec 17, 2014.
Now my file was transferred to Scarborough office on January 07, 2015.
I have two questions.
How long it will should I have to wait for test
What is the average processing time for Scarborough office.
Hearty congrats !! Finally, your patience has paid offPUZZLED said:Hello everyone !!! Today is great day because just got an email from CIC with AOR !! Yyeeeyyy!! Applied oct 17 and received in Sydney on the 2oth. It's almost 3 months before they issue it just now.. I'm relieved thanks God. I have some questions: does it mean that when you received an AOR from email they won't send the booklet anymore and they give a certain link to download it? Because it says in the letter :
If you are receiving this letter by email the study guide is available on the CIC website.
If you are receiving the letter in regular mail the study guide is enclosed .
So does it mean that I will not receive it by post now because I've got an email? I'm asking this because other received it thru email as well as by regular post with the book enclose. Thanks
Thank you!!! Hope everyone can get their AOR soon.garian4u said:Hearty congrats !! Finally, your patience has paid off
