Hi all,

Is this strike thing really affecting CEC processing time?
My lawyer told me that despite the current strike, almost all of his clients are getting it in 12 months timeframe. Considering that, he said he didmt know if it really is causing a delay.
Any idea on this?

Who's your lawyer? the processing time said on the cic website is for 80%. Due to the strike, work is at the minimal pace. I got my visitor's visa approved after 2 months which usually takes not more than 4 weeks.

1) Submitted my application on October 2012 (CPP-O)

5) Medicals uploaded to EMedicals system from the Doctor's office June 14, 2013
6) E-Cas System Updated to "Medicals results have been received" June 20, 2013
7) E-Cas System Updated to "Decision Made" June 22, 2013
8) GCMS notes and COPR indicates that PR approved June 19
9) Received my COPR today(Aug 20, 2013)

*didnt receive PPR due to visa exempt country.

I applied under CEC category in October. I got married in December and added my spouse application in February. My spouse never visited Canada. Is there any one in this situation. Is this case going to be a problem. I am planning to bring my wife on TRV now. Does it make any changes in my PR application Processing since I have not heard anything from CIC after I received my AOR in December.

Awesome. let me know how it goes. As long as your dad has 'wasta' it will be smooth. :)
So my sister had emailed me this link: http://www.canadavisa.com/canada-immigration-discussion-board/getting-a-police-certificate-from-saudi-arabia-instructions-t157222.0.html My father already tried this route, but the Egyptian Embassy in Saudi Arabia is not answering the phones, I guess because what is happening in Egypt currently. I did indeed use my wasta to get my police report and My father will be mailing it to me in the next couple of days.
