Please think about this - if you re-apply too early, you will have the same anxiety and impatience when you wait again for your AOR.

What will you do then? Keep re-applying and increasing your anxiety, costs and potentially processing time in total.

I think it is futile to try to convince someone with a high level of anxiety and who is panic mode to change course. They have already made up their minds.

The psychology of waiting tells us that "anxiety makes the wait feels longer"; And also because people cannot get the right information about the process or file etc., anxiety is compounded.

A thread like this will greatly sway some "vulnerable" folks.

Ok, if I follow your advice and wait anther 2-3 weeks and then still no AOR or returned application what do you suggest to do then ?
I wish I had a definite answer for this. Just a few days ago, while following a community member's day-by-day analysis of AOR's in October, around 75% of the applications delivered on Oct 13 had received AOR status (if I recall correctly).

If the average time to go to AOR is being touted as 35-40 days (which is 5-6 weeks), then I think it's completely normal for some applications to take up to 2 months to receive AOR status, given the crazy increase in number of applications in the period.

The claim that the application may be lost seems weird if you have a record that the application was delivered correctly. Just...be patient.

Thing is, making re-application a norm in the future will set a dangerous precedent. It wastes the applicant's resources and wastes IRCC's resources

I agree, especially those apps that were sent by courier and signed on reception.

You all need to calm down - no matter how anxious you are. There is no definitive timeline for an AOR. We are all going on averages - based on what others in October but this doesn't make it the standard or the norm. If you have put in your application and haven't received the AOR yet you need to sit tight and wait. It's coming.

the level of impatience is great with this one :D
calm down guys and stop overthinking this. you will get your AOR eventually. I personally believe when I get impatience and want something to happen faster the opposite happens and it gets delayed even more... not sure why this happens. maybe god/universe enjoys messing with impatient people lol

When the 1st few Oct 13th applicants received AOR only after a few days, the mood was ecstatic. Some of them received AORs well before the old 4/6 applicants that were still waiting. now within less than a month, the mood has gone from excited to panic. If not for the initial excitement, this would have been normal. But the initial AORs changed the expectations of people.

Its like Wall St.

I just get off phone with CIC. She told me it’s better to wait for couple of weeks. According to the system, she can see the sydney guys are still opening Oct 19 envelopes, even some cases after Oct 19 have got AOR.

She said if the delivery was successful, it would be no problem, just too many applications, because It’s very very rare to miss or loss applications. If one case is missing, it’s possible, if so many cases are missing, it’s impossible.

So...be patient

I know it sucks and feels bad, but I think this is the Internet random base-less info and speculation paranoia you are experiencing. I would just give it 2 more weeks and then call or re-apply.

I have 3 friends who sent their apps on 12th (Not sure when delivered) and none got confirmation yet.
i am waiting too. i dont think they can lost it. its frustrating for us but nothing is in our hands so wait and write anything you want. we will be able to only read frustration words and feel better...

I am not sure it would help, but there is a very low probability of not getting AOR.
I can totally relate to the frustration, people are having here as I was in the same boat till I got mine yesterday.
