Yes, received today. I hope it's the right choice.
Assuming they'll hold the second application and not the first one, if you do somehow get AOR for the first one .. should be fine I would think. Won't speed up the process though. But I guess you re-applied because you think the first application is lost, right ?

I attached a letter explaining what the agent at call center told me, which, at least, makes it reasonable to IRCC that my first application is returned for sure. Should I get AOR, which is unlikely to happen, I can just inform them to ignore the second one. Both applications have the same fee receipt. Therefore, one may not say there are two valid applications. It's One payment for One application. One application's completeness invalidates the other's.

Yes, my main concern is that my application may get lost, or they lost part of it (like photos) and returned it, or get lost on its way back.

I would like to emphasize that reapply is not about speeding up instead it's about buying some insurance for your path to citizenship.

As of today Nov. 28, 20 % of Oct. 13, 20 % of Oct 16, and 27 % of Oct 17 applicants haven't yet received their AORs.

Good news, guys!!

I was the one whose application was delivered on Oct 13, and I just received AOR today at 7pm. I believe all of you will get AOR very very soon.
I didn't reapply, because like the CIC call centre agent said in phone, it code be possible if one application was missing or lost, but it's absolutely impossible if so many cases were missing or lost together. Reapply will cause trouble and confusion.... So just be patient, and live as normal.

Good luck to everyone!

I think it is futile to try to convince someone with a high level of anxiety and who is panic mode to change course. They have already made up their minds.

The psychology of waiting tells us that "anxiety makes the wait feels longer"; And also because people cannot get the right information about the process or file etc., anxiety is compounded.

A thread like this will greatly sway some "vulnerable" folks.
True.

Some say World War III will be fought over oil, some others say it will be fought over religion.

I say World War III will be fought over AOR.
I just get off phone with CIC. She told me it’s better to wait for couple of weeks. According to the system, she can see the sydney guys are still opening Oct 19 envelopes, even some cases after Oct 19 have got AOR.

She said if the delivery was successful, it would be no problem, just too many applications, because It’s very very rare to miss or loss applications. If one case is missing, it’s possible, if so many cases are missing, it’s impossible.

So...be patient
Thank you for sharing the information, hopefully some will listen to you.

I really don't want to argue with you but you, the guy who has the same timeline as mine and got IP two weeks ago, are advising others to wait! I am really interested in knowing how others still waiting feel about your comments.
It can be frustrating, especially when you see someone that applied after you receive AOR. However, as it has been explained several times here, there is no need to worry. I am sure a lot of people that posted their frustrations here in the past have received their AOR and that's why they are no longer here. If your application was delivered, then yours will come.

My application was received Oct 16 and I received AOR yesterday. Don;t spread panic on the forum, wait a week or so and you will get it

I am so happy for you, thanks for sharing your conversation with CIC as well.

What's with all the up comments? No one has a magic ball and very few people are going to support your choices of sending in another application so early. In case you haven't realized, no one form Nov has received AOR. There was huge demand last month and IRCC are currently working their way through the applications.
