Citizenship test abroad

Hi,

I am invited to take my citizenship test.
I’m currently outside Canada and would like to do the test while abroad.
I heard two different opinions, some say I need to tell IRCC, others says no need to tell them. I’m very confused and don’t want to miss it up with the IRCC.
Please advise,
