I applied for GCMS notes as soon as my application was received and I got an email with all my info. Since that I didn't get anything else, can I check them somewhere??

No, nobody knows. We're all tapping in the dark making wild guesses
Before the march break CIC went through a whole months in about 2 weeks.
There's still a week left for August, then two for September. So maybe about 3-5 weeks if
they keep up the pace.

You can, but you don't have to. Some applicants feel better updating CIC with the latest available information, others don't.
It is not required.

Hello everyone ! I paid 1,040.00 Canadian dollars online on 7th Oct, sent my application on 18th , reached on 21st oct. my AOR was generated within 5 weeks, 26 Nov. when I am trying to track it online it doesn't mention that at which office they accepted my file. i sent my application to Sydney. The only thing it is showing is that " 1. We received your application for permanent residence on October 21, 2013". i saw some posts here saying that they transferred application to so and so office. how do i know about my application?

one more question is that, I let it go many job opportunities because i did not want to change my current employer by thinking that they might not give proper answer to immigration if they call them to inquire about me. however, i have decided to take this new offer. does it affect in either way?

one more post i read about the medical issue, i believe that they are only worried about DANGEROUS diseases like communicable STDs or cancer like big one that will be future liability to Canadian Government. I am pretty sure that they are not much concerned about blood pressure or diabetes like common problems. I could be wrong, please correct me if I am.

Your application will be processed at the CIC office in Ottawa ( CPC-Ottawa )

No, it does not affect your application

Strange !! I know many people got their PR even they are obese. like real obese. being a pharmacist, i know that most of obese people are prone to high BP or cholesterol and diabetes. even smokes do !

Not everyone gets a RCMP request. If you didn't get one, you're ok. There's nothing you have to worry about.
