Hi guys,

I need some help. A friend of mine applied for her PR. ..same group and timeline as you guys. She has done her medical May 7th but hasn't heard anything from cic. She is all worriied cause she hasn't been asked to pay for her PR fee. So I wanted to know if they send an extra email to pay or if the request was in the email with the medical.

Advice please

Hi cfbebe,

RPRF is a separate email, with all necessary instructions.
Has your friend's ECAS status updated with "Medicals Received" or "Decision Made" status yet?
As a procedure RPRF is supposed to follow once the medical results have been received and deemed fit by cic, at the time of decision making. However that seldom happens, as the email is sent out in batches to candidates around the medical requests.
Honestly, each case is unique in itself, so application of stats and trends is a good tool to to get a rough estimate however losing one's sleep over it, ain't good.
My two cents for your friend, is to hang in there. We still have people from July, Aug & Sep who are still waiting to hear. It is not too late until it has crossed the 12 month SLA. Please avoid additional communication with CIC as much as possible.
Stay Calm and be patient, you have come a long way and light is just at the end of tunnel.
Hope that helps :-)

Which part of Canada are you located?

Most of the people who got their passport received on 15th of May, got the return tracker activated on 26th of May. Few even get theirs later. On top of that, since CPP Ottawa sends the passport back @ 6 PM, applicants receive theirs one or two business days after.

Good luck with yours thou~ Thank you......

Hi Bullionvault, what is your ECAS status?
Also, i am not directly communicating to CIC as i have appointed a rep.

So i just get the final emails from CIC via rep (AOR, Medical Req, RPRF and now PPR). These are the only emails i have seen till date :)

Sorry buddy :(

No prob, thanks! anyway I would need it one month down the line, and only if the ppr gets delayed ::) By the way, in case I dont have enough time to do landing at Niagara, I was wondering if I could do the landing at the airport itself and then go back to home country :P

Awaiting response from Ottawa on Visa stamping location change to New Delhi.
Received PPR on 23-May and request sent to Ottawa on 26-May.

Hope for the best.
Cheers

Hello,

I have had a hard time understanding this - Is there a difference between "Medicals Received" by CIC AND "Medicals Uploaded" by the Panel Physician?

My Panel Physician "Uploaded" our medical results on the 16th May 2014 and today (28th May 2014) I received an email from CIC that they have not yet "Received" them.

Can anyone help?

Thanks

Hi folks, one query regarding passport validity and ppr, is it mandatory that passport has to have minimum 1 year validity for ppr ? What I heard is if the passport validity is less than one year, then the landing visa will have same validity as that of the passport ? Requesting clarification on this please as my passport is expiring end of this year. I hope they won't hold up my ppr because of that ::)

Thanks,

That is correct. If you passport is valid less than a year, this will have a direct impact on the validity
of the CPR.
