Hi there am applying for oci for my 2 months old son. He just got his passport. I have question.. Is it okay to use same photo for oci that I used for passport? I mean the photographer took 2 photos of my son one for oci and one for passport with differentsize and specificsaccording to oci checklist.... is there a problem if photo in passport and oci looks same I mean same clothes same face expression?

All the best to you. My current file status is "under process" with CGI. BLS Agent said 2-3 weeks for OCI in Toronto. Fingers crossed.

Where did you check your OCI status? How long after your application was delivered were you able to track the status?

I called BLS yesterday and they confirmed that all incoming applications are being stored for 1 week in quarantine before they even open it. not sure if this is something new that have started or have been doing already.

Hi everyone, looking for some quick info please.

I applied for OCI in Paris, France on Jan 15th. I need to travel to US by end of Feb, and I feel like I might not have it before that. I also opted for courier services, so hopefully they will send out to my address as soon as it is ready, without me being present here.

My question is - is that okay if somebody else at my address pick up courier on my behalf and mail it out to me in US? Could there be any issues?

I did the same for my son and got his Oci card

Same thing, it still shows no such record found. My application was delivered on Jan 26, 2021.
I see you were requested some additional documents. Did you get any email asking for additional documents?

Did you manage to contact BLS to ask for the status of your application? Someone posted that they’re waiting a week to open applications due to quarantine protocols.

Did you include your drop-off receipts from Purolator that BLS gave you in your application?

Yes, they sent an email and sent a copy of scanned documents back.

I just paid the courier fees through DD. I didn't send any Purolater receipts. Is it mandatory?

No since you paid for courier separately through DD I guess it doesn’t matter. I paid for Purolator over the phone through BLS, so was just checking.

Hi I am got photos for oci for my son he's 2 months old.. in checklist it says shoulders should touch border but my son's shoulders are too tiny if I touch em to border his head will look really big.. anyone had same problem?
