Hi,
OCI status inquiry says "no record found". Someone please advise the current timeline how long does it take to update the Date of ACK in the status inquiry portal?

My timeline (from BLS tracker):
Applied via postal application - BLS Brampton
Application date - March 24
Application status - Processing at Consulate General

Hello everyone,
For a postal application in Toronto, I know that two separate demand drafts need to be taken. How much is the fee to be paid? How much should the demand draft be for the Consulate General and for BLS International?

Postal application - I assume you paid for two way courier service. Then you need to take two demand drafts with the following amount:
The Consulate General of India - Toronto - $376
BLS international services Canada Inc. - $1.70

Voter ID and ration card Surrender: I tried to fill form7 to surrender voter id, but it says it takes few months to process, can anyone please tell me if it can be done by a relative in India or any other method.. please help me.

I need to apply for OCI for my newborn. If I take the premium service, should I complete the form at home and go there or should I just take the documents and let BLS help me fil the form once I am there. What would you suggest?
Also do I need take my child me with for OCI? I can get his photo clicked in advance but do they need to there in person for OCI?

I believe in premium service BLS will fill up the form on your behalf and even take the photo. Call BLS customer care to confirm once though.

Child is not required to be present for submission, atleast not at Brampton or Mississauga centers.

Hi, I am facing issues in cancelling my voter id. I went to https://voters.eci.gov.in and created a profile. However when I login and try to add my EPIC number it says “mobile number is not available in E-Roll, the facility to update your mobile no is available in Form8” . Then I filled form8 and submitted it, and I see in status that “Eroll updated”. Even after this I get the same error as before. And when I try to open form7 it says your profile doesn’t have EPIC number so you cannot proceed. Not sure what to do. Please advice. Thanks!

Yes, you can get it done by relative in India. I got mine done in that manner as I struggled with the online portal. Please make sure the form is filled correctly.

I didn’t get my OCI yet as I applied last week.

I cannot find my voter information anymore in the portal after cancellation.

I had the same issue. First, you need to make sure your BLO officer updates it from their side. You can find your BLO’s name online and ask someone in India to contact them. Request them to update it. Once it’s updated, it will take about two weeks to reflect in the system. I followed this process 3 week ago, and it worked for me.

Currently, patience is key.
