what is file reference number in mandatory declaration form?

It's the OCI application reference number.
A temporary application number is generated in the beginning of OCI application.
Copy paste the same number onto mandatory declaration and upload / submit it in Indian Visa section.

Hi All, I am an Indian Origin applicant, In the new OCI website, under the Passport details section, should I just leave the Previous Passport No. field blank ? if I recently acquired Canadian Citizenship and had first Canadian passport. I don't have any previous Canadian passport. Thank you

That’s correct , prev passport field will be blank in your case.

Here is the timeline for my kid's:

Application Submitted BLS Brampton: 2nd June 2025

BLS tracker:
Status Processing at consulate general from 3rd June 2025
Status incomplete/incorrect data on 10th June 2025

follow up on my son's Minor OCI application

-No Email or Phone call from BLS

After the original photo was rejected by the Consulate General of India in Toronto, a new photo was submitted in person at the BLS Office on 13th June 2025 between 3:00 PM and 4:30 PM.
Since then, there has been no progress. The BLS tracking status still shows "Incomplete/Incorrect Data" as of 30th June 2025. Despite multiple attempts to contact BLS via email and phone, I have not received any helpful response.
When I called, I was told that the consulate had rejected the photo. However, even after resubmitting the new photo, I was given vague reasons for the delay, such as the Premium Lounge staff being on vacation. It appears that no one at BLS has taken any action on the file since 13th June.

Same happened to me while used Premium lodge service i have to called multiple times bls to see what happened with my application

After my application was initially returned twice for missing documents I decided to opt for premium service to re-submit my application on June 25 at BLS Surrey.

As of today, BLS website still shows the old status as “Returned”

How many days does it take for status to get updated? Calling them is of no use as they just keep transferring around! So tiring!!

Minor application submitted on May 24th now changed to granted status.

Thanks, I see two different number one when in the list where you see the partially filled application and one when you actully upload documents, which one should i user?
