Oath Timeline after test at St. Clair Office

One of my friend took citizenship test on April 2011,last month she just receive oath letter. Is it funny! 5 years ,she finally finish her citizenship journey !why it took so long,just because she lost her old passport!
Hi... I know it is frustrated period, am also suffering the same although I have not
lost my passport have submitted all the required documents and due to my age
test also not needed. My file enter into 41 months and to date no news.
recently I call CIC my file under RCMP clearance than next step I do not know
what will be the next step. Region for RQ extensive travelling ?

People,
Think about how we can get some media attention to our plight. Any ideas? We can't just complain and waste our precious time requesting ATIP or talking amongst ourselves. We gotta do something. Let's do a half day rally/sit in across the street from CIC St Clair and have the local media (CBC, CP24, CTV or Global) cover our protest. That will get the bozos attention at the CIC as this is an election year.

Am aware about the frustration but I do not see this will benefit they are
saying that 80 percent of application completed on given processing time.
my case well over processing time and now whenever I call they give me
the same answer . My case now 41 months old and am waiting sometime with
patient and some time frustration ??? have no choice contacted the lawyer
paid small amount for consultation lawyer was asking approx 5 K and no guarantee
when case come for hearing may take one year ??? therefore am waiting and
suggestion despite all your frustration stay calm and live regular life and hope one day
your and my case will be finalize..

You need to keep in mind the Canadian culture. In Canada, no matter what happens people rarely actively protest or do something to correct the situation. The usually shrug and move on. It is no "Canadian" to complain or to actively try to rectify the situation. This is in contrary to other cultures , e.g. US and France, in which people go out to the street and demonstrate . CIC , as well as other government agencies and sometime even private sector companies, are well aware of this tendency and are taking advantage of it.Rayan14 said:
