1. We received your application for Canadian citizenship (grant of citizenship) on October 11, 2012.
2. We sent you a letter acknowledging receipt of your application(s), and a study book called Discover Canada on October 11, 2012. Please consider delays in mail delivery before contacting us.
3. We started processing your application on February 20, 2013.
I got RQed in July 2013.
4. We sent you a notice on January 24, 2014 to appear and write the citizenship test on February 18, 2014 at 1:00 PM. The notice you will receive by mail will be your official confirmation of your appointment. If you have not received this notice prior to the date of your scheduled appointment, please contact us.
I got a letter on February 04th, 2015 to send additional documents such as tax returns, passport translation, etc (Again!)
5. We sent you a letter on March 20, 2015. If you have not yet provided the information or the requested documents, please do so as soon as possible. Please wait until you receive the letter before sending us additional information, as the letter will outline all information that is required. Please consider delays in mail delivery before contacting us.
I sent them a letter letting the know that my PR card expires in May and that for work, I need fast tracking to my application (sent employer's letter and other supporting documents.)
6. We sent you a notice on April 21, 2015 to appear and take the oath of citizenship at the citizenship ceremony to be held on May 5, 2015 at 1:00 PM. The notice you will receive by mail will be your official confirmation of your appointment. If you have not received this notice prior to the date of your scheduled appointment, please contact us.
7. You became a Canadian citizen on May 5, 2015.
It may be a frustrating journey, but rewarding at the end. Be patient and it will all work out
