I agree with you. The new people who are currently applying now might get processed faster than us while we are still waiting n watching.
It is unfair!! Can we do something to express our feelings?

You can email Minister Chris Alexander's chief propagandist Mr. Chris Day here at: Chris.Day@cic.gc.ca
Draw his attention to our thread so that he knows we are not full of it, as he put it to me.
His Twitter handle is: twitter.com/CDayOttawa

He wrote me a long email a month or so ago accusing us of being phony. Let him know who the real phony is. I think it is important for him to know we are fed up with their tactics.

Great News!!!
Just received the invite for the entire family to take oath of citizenship on Saturday October 18th At Scarborough.
That would be nearly 34 months from the date we sent the application.
After a lot of waiting, and investment of time, energy (especially for responding to the RQ), I feel relieved.
This forum has always been great help - thank you so much everyone.

Timeline:
Applied: Late December 2011
Received by CIC: Early January 2012
RQ received and responded: November 2012
Finger prints first request: November 2012
Finger prints second request: March 2014
Test: March 17, 2014
Approved by Citizenship Judge: Late May 2014
Granted by CIC: Early June 2014
Oath Date: October 18, 2014

Finally. Happy news from your side. Congratulations!
So, after the Judge approval, it takes 4 months for them to send Oath letter.

Test invite, Late June 2014
Test passed and interview July 2014
File approved and granted, transferred to Mississauga late Sept 2014

Thanks once again to everyone for the kind wishes.
I sincerely hope that everyone else waiting for the oath letters would receive them very soon. In the meanwhile, from my own experience, I must say that we have to bide our time, otherwise it might cause a lot of anxiety for us in this game of long waiting.
This forum has been very helpful and I would love to keep in touch.
I would also share my oath ceremony experience.

Congrats, as long there is some progress on your file. Guess due to the heavy backlog for Oath scheduling at Scarborough location, they are sending some files to Missisuaga. That's really helps to expedite the process instead of waiting for months. We have seen some candidates at Scarborough made to wait for 3 - 4 months just for their Oath ceremonies. Great, you are just weeks away from Oath. ;D

Dear all,

Appreciate your advise on travel outside Canada between the time Citizenship application approval to Oath ceremony? I have received the invitation to take oath sometime next week but need to travel to USA for couple of days prior to taking the Oath. Appreciate your views
