Fight for it. Document everything. Don't give them a reason to terminate you. You should be punctual and have perfect attendance. Do your job well. It happened to me as well. My boss is always threatening me about sending me back to my home country, He doesn't like me, I don't like him either. I documented all his verbal abuse, with time, date and witnesses. Even his physical contact. But I stayed professional and did my best in every task. I sent a complaint about his behavior. I even mentioned about racism and harassment. I was nervous, but I know I don't deserve to be treated that way. Now, he's a little nicer. I am not scared of him because I know my rights and I am doing my job well. Same thing for mycic status. Don't worry about those status changing for now if you're a November/December applicant.
