Thank u so much. Yes, this wait time is killing me..Will enter 8th month after 8 days!
Everything is genuine in my file..I just hope they clear it soon..
Have u already got PR?
I did get my PR last month. Its very normal for them to take longer than 6 months. And 1 more thing- they just wont refuse you a visa just like that, they would rather ask you to provide additional documents to review if they feel that your case needs some more documentation. But if you did everything alright, have faked no document, just relax and be patient.

This whole journey has been a nightmare. I was thinking other day, what if they approve my case and still delay sending PPR for another a month or two. With what's going on with my case I really won't be surprised anymore If this happens :D

My mental health has been pretty low last few weeks, it's probably going to get worse if this continues so I too decided to just move on and forget about this. It will come when it comes. I'm sure by the time I have grandkids they will clear the queue :D:D:D

For now, I decided to explore other threads and help people out with their Canadian dreams and in the process and maybe find a new SithLord and pass my curse :D:D

stay positive dude, the only reason I come to this thread anymore is for your PPR. Once you get it, i will stop coming. I hope yours comes soon, and I am sure it will. If you don't post too frequently, it will be much harder to locate your posts :p

Hey guys,

I'm not a totally silent reader here but I've had just minimal interaction.

I mentioned here yesterday that I had gotten my very first ghost update and @Hopeful007 said my PPR was coming soon and @Aquast also predicted I would get PPR today based on his/her timeline.

It finally came today, I have just checked my email for the first time today and lo and behold, there it was, the golden (final request) email staring right at me. My timeline is as follows

AOR Nov 27 2018
MEP passed 5 Jan 2019 (this just got updated on my profile today)
Biometrics requested 5 Jan 2019, submitted 8 Jan 2019
Absolute silence until.....
Ghost update 3 June 2019
PPR 4 June 2019

I will be submitting my passport on the 6th as tomorrow is a public holiday here, will update on the process and how long it takes.
Will also be here waiting for the good news from others especially @SithLord @Upasana @Priya0227 @shweta and others whose cases I've been following too.

I know at this point it sounds cliche but this thread has been of immense help during this waiting period. Hope everyone gets theirs in this month without delay. (can't believe I wrote all of this epistle, lol. sorry for the long post)
Hello guys, an update on my case as promised... so I submitted my passport to vfs office on the 6th of June and yesterday (20th) I got an update on my CIC account stating that my application has been approved and approval date is stated as 19th June, though I'm yet to receive passport collection request from my local vfs office the update in my account shows that my counterfoil is valid until 25th November 2019. Just to clarify I'm a Nigerian applicant and my passport was transmitted to the Canadian embassy in Ghana through my local vfs to be stamped. Still checking this thread and hoping for everyone's success.

Might be the case, I have seen for some documents like PCC, Education, Passport, Medicals they marked it as Checked. So the only thing pending for checking is work ex and sibling docs which don't have any remarks. I will order gcms notes again on completion of 6 months. 8 more days to go for that.
DId you call CIC to check the recent status?

Yeah, I called them, they said nothing is yet started same as gcms notes and my notes were generated on 13th May and I called them this tuesday its the same status. Strange thing is that I don't have any travel history so I submitted only 1 pcc and that too from PSK but still even criminality is not started.

One more thing I got to know today from this forum is Not Started means In Progress. Don't know how much that is true.
7 Days left to complete 6 months and nothing started!!

I would recommend you to wait for 6 months completion and call them again, ask the agent to drop a reminder email to the officer and also request a new set of notes after that.

I asked for a reminder but he said only after 6 months, will order another set of notes on 1st July once I complete 6 months.

@SithLord - I got the following reply from ralph..

Thank you very much for contacting the office of the Honourable Ralph Goodale.

If you are a constituent of Minister Goodale in the riding of Regina-Wascana, your correspondence will be reviewed as quickly as possible.

How long do they take to respond to the query..

Thanks

Nov 28 - no update after May 10.
What is the most economic way to call IRCC from India?, since I heard waiting times are longer.
