Security has not started also I don't understand how I can fall into SS with just 1 travel history to UK? I have no military or middle east background and have no visa refusals. I can't think of anything in my background that raises flags and would trigger comprehensive security screening

Perhaps you didn't hide your allegiance to the dark side well enough, Darth .......

Congrats I have the same NOC. Gives me hope. What was your actual job title? Is your experience Canadian?

Welcome to the club!!

Just wait for couple of more decades, maybe IRCC will figure out our "complex" cases :D:D:D

"Complex Cases" - ha ha ha, it's very funny. I did not think about this expression before.

It sounds really silly when I think about myself as a "Complex Case". Especially after spending several years in Canada, passing all previous visa applications and that IRCC has a pile of my previously submitted documents, LOL.

I got reply immediately.

Maybe a lot of people are emailing him so he is not responding. Just wait for a day.
So is this an acknowledgement email then? We got the exact reply too today. And there was also these lines stating if your enquiry is about immigration application then we recommend you to use this link - which was cic link actually. And another link to find who is your MP based on your location.

So we are not sure if this is just an acknowledgement email or jus a final email that is asking us to jus check the CIC portal for our application status.

I'm completing 8 months next week so let's see how far this "complex" final review goes

I think your file is moving along - it is just a matter of having the officer "press an OK button". Canada day is coming soon, so I guess they are all busy preparing their trailers and camping gear. It might come "next month", or "anytime soon" :D

I hope it comes soon buddy! There is nothing "complex" per se in the application itself. The only "complexity" is the process by which someone decides they want to pick your file or not. And my guess is that process is totally random.

Similar things we were talking about last Christmas holidays (2018) and Victoria day o_O

And I am afraid that with IRCC confusion with "complex cases" will will continue discussing next Halloween and Christmas holidays too (2019) :(

Kind of both really. Looks like he doesn't want to help so just wants people to check the IRCC link for progress.

I guess, a lot of people must be flooding him with enquiries.

I don't think it is moving at all. It's been in the queue since May 9th. Maybe the officer died while my file was in queue :D:D:D

The new estimation date should be when the officer will pick up the file :D:D

Come December it will be dead as slow again as IRCC will be heavily understaffed since most of them will be on holidays.

I do not even want to think about spending another Christmas month with IRCC

I think IRCC is going to get busier trying to get as many immigrants as possible before the elections on October. This may impact "complex" files.

Honestly, at this point nothing surprises me. I can seriously see IRCC doing the opposite and approves "newer" cases faster to reach their target.

It will be hilarious to see people from May and June getting approved in August while "complex" cases continue to rot :D:D
