It happened with me , just thought to share.. .. . It might be helpful .....

Yesterday I was trying to upload additional documents for dependant but when I logged in it was not showing any window where I cud add documents in dependant's profile . Instead it was showing a window to add documents under my profile.
So I called ircc , I was given a link where I had to upload the screenshot of the issue that I was facing and also the additional documents that were asked.. ...
Good that I called and confirmed, coz I was planning to upload the documents under my profile ... . And this wud have been wrong.......
So if anyone faces similar issues ..... Call ircc first .....
thanks for sharing such important thing priya .
this is very helpful to others.

Thanks for your prompt reply @legalfalcon and @SithLord . Is there any other option that my spouse can relocate to Canada, after I get PR and move there. I heard people talking about visit visa and Open work permit, Can you please shed some light on this option.
Visitor Visa is temporary visa resident visa.

Go with accompanying spouse so you both can do the landing or go with non-accompanying and sponsor her after you land in Canada

Just received passport ready for collection mail :)

This chapter comes to a close . i am very thankful to everyone for providing support. Waiting did not bother me in the start but as 6 month comes to a close my attitude changed a lot and i started stressing out a lot. It's all well that ends well now but it wasnt the case even a week ago. Keep patience it will be ok.

Again thank you all .

Your spouse can travel to Canada on any visa the spouse is eligible for. However, most visas, visitor, WP etc. are temporary visas.

The bets bet is to add your spouse to your application, or sponsor.

So I just received the response from my VO (I previously raised a web form asking about the status of my case and they told me that they were going to forward my enquires to the office responsible for my case). It turns out that my file is still in Ottawa, because the message came from CPC-CTD-Ottawa.

The message says:

“Your file is currently under review and requires additional verifications. As a result, the assessment period will be outside of our posted processing times.

Unfortunately at this time we are not able to determine when your application will be finalized, but our office will contact you as soon as all verifications are completed, or if any additional information or documents are required.

We appreciate your patience and ask that you keep correspondence with our office to a minimum.”

I haven’t received any update or request since I was asked to pay RPRF 4 months ago.

Any thoughts?

What does “requires additional verifications” mean?

How generic is the message? Should I worry?

:(

I got the exact same response from Ottawa too. What is your eligibility status?

I think this has more to do with background checks.
